Our interpretation of the rustic Wallonian Saison style is a harmonious blend of rustic grains, spicy yeast and unique sauvignon blanc tones. Inviting lemon grass and gooseberry meet peppery spice and fresh grain aromas. Spicy Belgian yeast create a complex yet dry and refreshing canvas with splashes of citrus and stone fruit with a bright tropical white wine finish. Hop bitterness is assertive yet harmonious rounding out slightly tart and refreshing.

Hazy yellow color on the pour. White head that dissipated very quickly. Aroma isnít the best; banana, touch of clove, and unfortunately, some kind of medicinal, almost vegetable smell. Taste is much better. No veggies, but a light pepper flavor, some citrus, clove. Average body that doesnít really pop. Overall Iím a little let down by this beer, but itís not too bad. Would probably pass on purchasing again, even at the $6.19 price I got the bomber for.

Strong floral and spicy aroma, pours a slightly hazy light straw with a huge white head. Lots of earthy notes, with a touch of grape notes. Light in body, with a nice effervescence to lift flavors off of the palate. This is a very good Saison, and Iíll be trying to get more of this.

Keg at Brewdog Camden. Pale yellow, still, clear, small foamy white head. Aroma is pungent fruits on the turn, yeasty, passionfruit, background spice. Body is medium, soft carbonation, smooth. Taste is bready, caramel, spice, some light citrus. Dry, musty, yeasty finish with some booze showing up. Overall, itís quite nice but I was hoping for something more interesting.

White wine and funky belgian yeast in aroma. Golden cloudy. Spritzy, dry and thirst quenching. Very good example of classic saison.

Bottle from Brewdog AGM 2015. Enjoyed in allmyvinylís back garden. Pours a golden haze. Nice creamy head. Citra hop and Saison yeast aroma. Taste is a perfect balance of hop, saison yeast and malt; with the sugars just right. Perfectly pitched. Really enjoyed this.

Tap at BrewDog Manchester. Hazy golden shade. Thin white head. Nose is banana, lemon, slight tropical pineapple hop. Taste is similar. Bit grassy with white grape. Not bad, but something about it seems really rudimentary when compared to some of the complexities this style can offer. Some of the Firestone beers that have landed recently seem far from fresh and maybe this suffers there too.
