4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from 12 oz bottle, courtesy of SamGamgee. Light golden - yellow with a nice sized white head. Nose is somewhat complex; lots of stuff going on there, lemon, white wine, pepper, mixed in with that Belgian earthiness. Taste is spicy and bitter, a nice blend with a kind of abrupt finish. Overall a great interpretation of this style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2015 Bottle purchased at Krisp/Best Damn Beer Shop in San Diego. Consumed in random hotel provided glass. Light golden color. Minimal head. Aroma of coriander and spices with some grassy and earthy elements. Taste is in the vein of a very solid saison. Little bit of lemony citrus and a spicy quality. Bitterness coming through towards the end of the sip. Drying mouthfeel. Pretty decent saison.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is lemon, apricot, grapefruit, belgian-y. Appearance is dark yellow, with a bit of haze, enormous frothy off white head that retains well. Taste is lemon grapefruit, belgian, spiciness, apple, apricot. Bitterness present but leaning a bit toward maltiness. Palate is almost medium, initially lays on the tongue a bit then the flavor disappears and becomes watery. Bitterness crisps it up a bit. Overall not bad, but for the price there are much better Saisons IMO.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Overall a great saison. Light and crisp. It was a little over carbonated which gave it a wine/champagne taste but it wasn’t over powering. It was a nice light refreshing drink.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy lemon straw pour which is a little underwhelming. However fresh and vibrant on the palate and what I do like is the dryness on the finish that just lingers.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted on draft at 2015 St. Louis Microfest in a willi becher glass. It poured a clear yellow colour with sudsy white foam and lasting lace. Husky whole-grains, black pepper, clove, earthy, woodsy, hints of wildflower honey, banana, bubble gum. Subtle yogurty tartness, not quite sour. Light body and strong carbonation.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
This was a really underwhelming saisson. The appearance was pale yellow and rather clear, suggesting this may be filtered. The aroma is quite like West Coast pale ale more than a saisson. There is too much hop and not enough spice and the body is too thin to support this dynamic.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650 ml, bottled 06/20/14, shared by Werckmeister, thanks a lot for this gem!
Deep golden, clear body, with a big, frothy, white head.
Aroma of Aroma of yeast, citrus, orange, lemongrass, apples, some ripe fruits, some spices.
Tastes of lemon zest, apples, lemongrass, spices, pine needles, pepper, some ripe fruits, some candy.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes dry, bitter, zesty, a bit sour, piney, fruity.
Tasty. A really clean, fresh, perfectly balanced Saison, that isn’t the most unique maybe, but very true to the style. Complex and easy drinkable at the same time.
