COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of the rustic Wallonian Saison style is a harmonious blend of rustic grains, spicy yeast and unique sauvignon blanc tones. Inviting lemon grass and gooseberry meet peppery spice and fresh grain aromas. Spicy Belgian yeast create a complex yet dry and refreshing canvas with splashes of citrus and stone fruit with a bright tropical white wine finish. Hop bitterness is assertive yet harmonious rounding out slightly tart and refreshing.

Poured from 12 oz bottle, courtesy of SamGamgee. Light golden - yellow with a nice sized white head. Nose is somewhat complex; lots of stuff going on there, lemon, white wine, pepper, mixed in with that Belgian earthiness. Taste is spicy and bitter, a nice blend with a kind of abrupt finish. Overall a great interpretation of this style.

Bottle from Julio’s. Poured into a tulip. A cloudy light "grassy" yellow color with a frothy white head that settles to a thin lace. Dominant aromas and flavors of licorice and pear. Some citrus, some dry earthy bitterness. Nice complex flavor with some pepper on the back side.

Bottle from some place in Aurora, CO. Had at hotel in my new Crooked Stave snifter. Pours a light gold with a thick fluffy head. Head mostly gone in 60 seconds. Decent ring and some lacing. Aroma is light lemon, cereal, biscuit, herbs, Belgian yeasts, and a slight funk. The taste is very well balanced with lemon, peach, light spruce, dogwood, herbs, white wine. Full of carb, light body. Finish is dry and tasty.

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass golden yellow, small head. Malty smokey aroma. Starts fine malty-fruity, notes of peaches and apricot, mild sweetish. Well balanced finish, soft-malty. Nice!

Bomber. Fantastic. Simply fantastic. I would drink this all summer if I could. Brilliant representation of a classic full bodied barnyard driven saison. DANK.

Bottle thanks to Ontape ! Pours a hazy yellow golden color with three fingers of fizzy white foam. Nose is a mix of floral honey, citrus, clay, grass and some fruity straw. Palate follows the nose with a lot of sweet fruit, a touch heavy on the honeyed roundness midpalate, bright grassy citrus pith lingers with peppery yeast.

Sample from bomber, thanks brenn79. Aroma is earthy, peppery, spicy. Pours hazy golden with a large white soapy head with excellent retention. Taste is the same as the aroma. Highly carbonated, but not the extreme champagne explosion found in a lot of these beers. Good Saison.

Bevo Liberty Station bottle. This is really a true-to-form saison with just a little hop influence to Americanize it. You could easily drink the entire 22oz quickly. Now that’s good saison.
