COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of the rustic Wallonian Saison style is a harmonious blend of rustic grains, spicy yeast and unique sauvignon blanc tones. Inviting lemon grass and gooseberry meet peppery spice and fresh grain aromas. Spicy Belgian yeast create a complex yet dry and refreshing canvas with splashes of citrus and stone fruit with a bright tropical white wine finish. Hop bitterness is assertive yet harmonious rounding out slightly tart and refreshing.

Poured from 12 oz bottle, courtesy of SamGamgee. Light golden - yellow with a nice sized white head. Nose is somewhat complex; lots of stuff going on there, lemon, white wine, pepper, mixed in with that Belgian earthiness. Taste is spicy and bitter, a nice blend with a kind of abrupt finish. Overall a great interpretation of this style.

This had a big foamy head atop a golden pour. It was a pretty yeasty farmhouse ale, with some lager-like taste and a dash of pith. Enjoyable enough, but overrated imho. Maybe the bottle I had was a little off for some reason.

Bottle at Firestone Walker tasting at Beer & Beyond shop. Clear golden color with a nice frothy head. Splendid and rich aroma - lemongrass, floral hops, cheese, white wine, wood, slightly funky and sweaty. Taste - sweetish, green and tropical fruits, banana, wheat, pleasant tart notes, nice crispy bitterness. Lively carbonation. Very pleasant and refreshing. Great brew.

Bomber bottle poured a clear yellow hue w/ huge foamy white head slowly diminishing to a thin cap and minimal lacing. Big citrusy and peppery yeast aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a moderate tart finish. Tastes are lemon, white pepper corns, grapefruit, white wine and herbal hops. Light bodied, creamy mouthfeel and dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lemongrass hop aroma. Appearance is straw colored with a white fluffy head with excellent head retention. Flavor is sweet upfront but dry on the end. Slightly tart as per style with citrus notes and slight pepper in the background. Mouthfeel is light with high carbonation. Overall, it's a good saison. Will buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The description of this beer is spot on and I really enjoy when a brewery does that. Really not much to say besides that it fits and matches the style perfectly. Nice nice job guys ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

20140824 Bomber from State Line. Pale and clear golden color with lofty foam that quickly dissipated. Aroma had some pungent alcohol, black pepper, green pepper, pineapple, and cracker. The hops were nice and the balance seemed okay. Not very rustic to my taste, although it was quite dry and a bit dusty, there wasn’t much of a woody quality nor any musky farmishness. Maybe with some time.

From a bomber. Pours a beautiful clear gold and makes a white head that doesn't linger too long. Smells of grass, wheat, and hops. Tastes of citrus, hops, with strong carbonation and a bit of sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer is pale yellow with a thick white head that quickly fades to a thin collar. The aroma offers lemons, wheat, herbal and floral notes. Lots of tart citrus. The flavor is dominated by dry hop bitterness, followed by tart citrus, particularly orange and lemon. Medium bodied with crisp, somewhat aggressive carbonation. Decent.
