COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

This was a nice, hoppy beer. Very well balanced. Just a little low on the alcohol, I think it could have supported more. A little piney, fresh and crisp. Floral aroma.

330ml bottle from Beer Cartel. Remarkably lively on the pour. A hazy amber with an initially tall and somewhat lasting and lacing frothy white head. Citrus and tropical fruits with biscuity pale malt characters. Some yeastiness in the mix too. Finished with a gentle grapefruit and citrus pith bitterness. Fine but would like to try a fresher bottle as I suspect this one was a little tired.

Bottle from Bradleys. Slightly cloudy gold with almost no head. Aroma is mostly citrus hop aroma. Flavour matches with a big hit of malty goodness.

Draught @ Malth and Mold. Clear rich yellow with small frothy off-white head, very faint lemon peel aroma, high carbonation, slightly sour lemon peel taste, smooth body, medium malty finish with tart lemon peel aftertaste. Very smooth and satifsying.

Pours a light copper with a white soapy head with a lacing that lasts throughout. Don’t have much to say on this, as I don’t find it that special. An average pale ale with a bit of bitterness.

Butelka 0,355l kolor jasnozłoty, klarowne, piana znikoma, szybko opada. Piękny aromat sosnowy z chmielem w tle, smak owoców cytrusowych i słodów, ostry posmak na podniebieniu, świetnie ułożone piwo.

Rating #1614 - 01.05.2015 - Bottle from San Diego. Dark amber pour with a bubbly, lasting white foam. Aroma is citrusy, tangerine notes, mild grassiness, mild floral, piney scent.Taste is a blast of Magnum hop character whose bitterness evolves to define this beer, a bold bitterness following a crisp, floral, resinous, citrusy sweetness. Not unbalanced, and extremely drinkable

Great pale ale, although the sheer amount of hops push it pretty close to a full-on IPA. Clean, crisp, light malt profile gives it a bit of grain taste, but mostly it’s just a backdrop to a lot of resiny, piney, dank hops. Really good.

Draft at the alley Mariposa. Mostly clear golden / light orange coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is leafy citrus hop, some pine, pale grains. Flavour is composed of crisp pale grains, pine and citrus hop, light resinous hop. Very well balanced and crushable. Palate is medium light bodied, crisp, light finish. Good stuff.
