COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

22oz. Bottle: Faint aroma of hops, citrus, and grapefruit. Poured golden/amber in color with a small to medium-sized, dense, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted as a thin film on top of the beer. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is light sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of toasted malts, slight caramel, hops, slight citrus, slight grapefruit, and some cereal. Light to medium body. Slightly thin, slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Light caramel malt, light hop finish is lightly dry.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Clear golden with a dense off-white head. Fresh citrusy nose. Rather light body, a little sweet fruitiness and a light and fresh hoppy finish. 100709

Thanks to Todd for sharing this one. Hazy gold pour with fizzy off white head and spotty lace. Piney hops and grainy aroma. Flavor fillers suite with a twist of lemon

pale golden colored pour with a soft barely tinted off white head. the nose is a bit dirty/earthy... almost british type hoppy aromas mixed with caramel, pale malt, orange, grass and light florals. medium bodied and crisp though the carbonation is low/soft. the flavor is pretty much the same... more earth, spice and a touch of dry piney hops. there is enough dryness and bitterness to keep me interested but nothing else really stands out. 6/3/6/3/15/3.3

Light golden amber with flufy head. Floral, lightly citrus hop aroma with malt base buried in there somewhere. Fluffy carbonation. Floral hop is not there as much in the flavor. Lightly citrus and herby/woodsy hop flavor, not too much bite. Smooth malt enough to balance the hops, not too strong on either end. Lght finish, hop btteeness on tongue.

Tap at the brewery. Light gold pour with a thick white head. Floral grassy hop aroma. Crisp malt with a nicely balanced hop bitterness. Really nice and fresh.

It is overly carbonated. The taste is watery. It smells okay - like Cascade hops.

Displays some honey and vanilla upfront with a light trail of tangy orange and pungent earth. Fades too quickly with a watered finale.

Bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. Clear golden pour with some whitish head. Nose Flavor of fresh citrus and floral hops, and almost a little sweetness to balance. Fairly crisp and refreshing. Pretty decent pale ale.
