COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Bottle pours a hazy golden color with a thin white top. Scent is grass and citrus. Taste follows scent with a dry bitter finish. Nice

A near perfect light ale with a subtle but extremely refreshing flavor. This is the perfect summer afternoon brew.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy amber-orange pour with a medium, thick white head. Lots of visible carbonation. Aroma of pine and tropic fruit hops, mild grapefruit, touches of tangerine and mandarin orange. Flavor is fairly bitter, complimented by fruity and floral notes. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation. Finishes with light hop bitterness and tropical fruits. This is nice. This is the type of pale ale you envision when you order a pale ale. Flavorful, bitter, fruity, light. A near perfect approximation to what I seek in the style.

12 oz. bottle, PDT of 7/31/12, hopefully still good- Pours slightly hazy with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a collar and thin blanket. Aroma is hops off the bat, citrusy and piney. Taste is more malt forward than I was hoping, hops are there, moderately bitter and dry, but the malt is prominent. Age hasn’t helped this beer. there is no doubt a fresher bottle would very nice.

Pours a vibrant golden color with a white head which stays around quite a whiled. Aroma is pure and clean floral hop. Floral aroma moves right into the taste hitting then clean and crisply with the malt and finishing with a touch of bitterness......a wonderfully well rounded pale with pronounced hop notes. Wonderful rendition of a well built hoppy American pale ale.

Bottle. Very nice pale. Light in color, clear, short white head. Soft hop aroma - prominent but not in your face. Medium body, light finish, lots of hop flavor without all the bitterness. Relatively low alcohol is not evident.

Bottle. Pours light golden. Aroma is nice and floral citrus with a strong pine note, also a fair sweet doughy backbone. Flavor is similar, forward hop character, citrus and pine still. Nice soft bitterness in the finish. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Good beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with light white head. Aroma of sweet malts and floral hops. Taste is smooth and malty up front, with a fruity hop bitterness in the finish. Pretty good overall.

12oz bottle from Antioch Fine Wine and Spirits. Pours a crystal clear, yellow amber color with a white head. Aroma is light, hoppy, pine, some orange citrus. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, bready, toasty, pine hops, with a light, bitter finish. A nice pale ale.
