COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

12 fl. oz at a tasting session, Brau Beviale, Nuremberg.
Golden body with a small lacing white head. Moderated hoppy-floral aroma with citrusses, some malt. Medium bodied beer with a mild hoppy aroma on a light malty base. Easy drinkable pale ale with a nice fruity palate.

Bright clear golden yellow color. Pale off white head. Nice hop and wet grass and pine nose. Very clean crisp hop taste. Yum.

bottle courtesy of Norcalgrowler. Pours a deep gold with a thin white head that lingers leaving nice lacing behind. Aroma is strong, but not overpowering citrusy hops with a hint of oak. Flavor is hoppy, but smooth - letting the malt come through with a little oak character. Liked this a lot.

Poured into a pint glass. 3.5 A: Medium orange color. Very clear. Snow white head with less-than-average retention. 3.0 S: Some citrus and some hop aroma, but mainly not much of anything. 3.5 T: Pretty good. Nice hop profile and great balance between hops and malts. Still, nothing spectacular. Citrus with a pleasant hop bitterness. 3.5 M: Smooth, a little undercarbonation. Medium body. 3.5 D: Good drinkability in that it’s very smooth, but simply too boring. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-11-2009 18:42:56

Slightly cloudy yellow in color. Basic pine spruce aroma. Light flavor of crusty bread with some bitter citrus mixed in. Overall, it’s solid but not too exciting as evidenced by my short rating notes...

A: Pours a deep gold with a nice wheat head. S: Plenty of hops for the style with some mild sweetness. T: Slightly sweet malt with some citrus/grapefruit hops. M: Medium bodied and well-carbonated. D: Quite good in this department. A nice, low abv beer with plenty of hops--my definition of great session-style drinkability. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-01-2009

Firestone pale 31. Draft at Haven, orange, ca... Pours a mostly trans orange cidery brown with a medium fluffy white head ... Crisp citrus hop profile, not too assertive... Flavors are citrusy hopped focus with a semi-dry finish. Lighter bodied but understandable given the abv. 7/4/7/3/14

Tap at Pap. Golden color pour with an off white head. The aroma is earthy hops mixed with caramel, pale malt, orange. The flavor is much the same. Light bitter hops and sweetish malt. Good all around, but nothing really stands out.

Pours clear and golden, average head and lace for a PA. Citrus nose with a hint of malt. Fresh taste with a little sweet up front and some hop on the finish. Some chalk on the aftertaste.

bottle from Braufactum. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Aroma of mango. Light-bodied, yet with a pleasant malty base. Shy hop flavours, fruit (tropical fruit, mango perhaps). Smooth palate. A very well balanced beer with a nice fruity accent.
