3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: Honey blond translucent body with a small off white crown that rapidly dissipates and leaves swirls of lace.
Smell: Tea, grass, herbal hops, slight touch of lightly toasted malt.
Taste: Like drinking a carbonated glass of sun tea with a nice english hop profile. Earthy!
Mouthfeel: Thin but with a nice amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Goes down like water. Super pale malty and earthy hoppy water. Totally sessionable but the flavor profile isn’t to my liking enough to give it a 5.0 in this dept.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to visionaries!
Bright copper, lacing, soapy white head. Strong nose of crackers, orange, soap, and lemon pine-sol. Balanced flavor of orange, pine, cracker, metal, and grass. Sticky, soapy body, thick enough but with light hop and bubblegum sweetness through the finish. Enjoyable and with a lot to enjoy, but its mouthfeel certainly could use some toning down, and overall, its a bit too aggressive to be called an APA.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Nice crisp clear golden coloured body with a slightly copper tint and a very thin pale white head. Aroma of odd fruits, some hops, candy, figs and a touch of nuts. Medium-bodied; Thinnish yeast/cardboard flavour with a touch of hops, some very mild hops and not-so-pleasant sugars at the tail end. Aftertaste shows hop dryness, some mild caramel, a touch of fruits and a pale funk at the end .Overall, not so great, and surely not anywhere close to what i’d expect from seeing these ratings on a style that I really enjoy. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 15-April-2010 sampled at home in Washington on 16-May-2010.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap in the brewer’s/friends area at Dark Lord Day 2010. Dispensed with a golden color, an average, off white head, and some clingy spots and streaks of lacing. The nose was perfumy mid-fruit and some background citrus. The flavor showed a good balance of malt and hop bitterness. Nothing over the top. Crisp, clean, and very sessionable, with a pleasant dryness to the finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This bottle was a great extra that I received in a recent trade! 22 oz bottle.
A- Body is a nearly transparent golden yellow. Pours with an approximately 1 finger foamy white head and leaves some lacing behind in the glass.
S-Sweet pale malt collides with a semi-bright citrus and piny hop presence. Nose is on the hoppier side of APAs
T-Upfront is a minimal balance of seltzer flavor and some piny flavor with a substantial sweet pale malt backbone. There is a touch of piny and floral hops as well as a sudden quick burst of citrus flavor for the finish and a medium strength hop bitterness lingering. Though my description sounds very hoppy the flavors are all pretty subtle and the general balance of the beer comes through the most.
P-High tingly carbonation and light body that is still full and drinkable.
O- This is a decent-definitely above average APA that, to me, is pretty typical for the style. It really doesn’t have anything unique and it is quite drinkable-but not my favorite APA. I’m all over the place with this style as it is and this example falls somewhere in the middle of the road.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale golden with a fluffy, tan, head. Nice crisp citrus hops, some sweet malts in the aroma. Easy drinking. Nice citrus, floral, light malts, with a solid crispness to finish it off. Could easily put down a few of these at the bar.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a short-lived cap of white head. The aroma picked up mild juicy citrus and pine hoppage over a soft caramel and bready base.. simple, but pleasant. The flavor found toffee and lesser honey sweetness at the core.. black peppery notes and juicy citrus bitterness around.. well-balanced with a clean, crisp, refreshing finish. Light-bodied with a little bit lower carbonation than I’d like on the palate.. other than that, spicy and tasty.. very, very drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Decent Pale... not too much to say about this one. Tastes like an English ale with a little extra bitterness, very light head from bottle, very drinkable but not memorable. Serve cold.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to douglas88. Pours a nice clear dark blond/red with very little head. This aroma is pretty hoppy for a pale ale and there is a kind of a woody undertone. There is more bitter than carmel or toffee flavors and a nice light dry finish. A great beer to drink all night.
