COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Bottle. Pours crystal clear golden color. White head dissipates quickly. Nose and flavor are pine. Dry bitter aftertaste.

This is an APA that won’t knock you’re socks off. It is just about perfect for the style however. So if you are looking for the next bigger, hoppier APA this ain’t it. It is just a well executed APA with no bad character whatsoever. Pours a light amber with a good-sized white head and a fair amount of lacing. Aroma is citrus floral hops. Taste is mildly bitter citrus hops with an ideal amount of sweet malt. The perfect session APA for me. The problem is that it is hard to find in Oregon. I bought the last bottle at the store today. Just bought another bomber. As good as the first. Exceptional APA. Buy some now. Especially at the low 4.8% abv. Great session beer.

Pours a golden color with a nice head. Aroma has some flowers with a little pine. Taste is crisp with a mild bitterness. There is some grapefruit on the finish.

Slightly hazy golden with a spongy head. Aroma is floral and a little dank. Taste clean with citrus and grain notes. A bit of metallic feeling around mid-palate, and again on tongue afterwards, but fleeting both times. A nice pale ale, but I suspect my sample was a bit old. Would probably be amazing fresh

Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is grass, lemon, citrus hops. The taste is clear and crisp like a pilsner. Light and refreshing with a nice dirty hop bitterness. Not much malt going on here. A good regular pale ale for a summer day.

No i dla hopheadów...

Quite a surprisingly nice beer. Medium golden copper with a medium head. Pleasant hops and malt aromatics with good hops bitterness with character, medium malt flavors, and a bit of earthiness from the oak barrel fermentation.

12oz bottle. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is weak. Citrus, pine, moderate bitterness, watery mouthfeel. Nothing special but it's very drinkable. Would be pretty good on a hot day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled on draft at the Santa Barbara Airport. Pours out a nice golden copper color. Aroma is light and sweet of oranges and citrus. Hops are evident once you take a sniff. Taste is good, really clean and light but still very flavorful from the hops and slightly sweet caramel from the malt. This is a great example of a simple American Pale that really can be appreciated by many different people with different tastes. Reminded me of SNPA for how simple good flavor can really be sometimes. This is the kind of beer I would love to homebrew.
