COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Pale golden beer with a thin white head that stays a while. Sparse carbonation bubbles rising. Aroma is delicate floral hoppiness with bready undertones. Flavor is nicely balanced malt and hoppy bitterness. Medium body, lively carbonation. Good brew.

On tap at PP san clemente. Light gold amber in color. Light hoppy aromas. Some easy malt sweetness with a slight bitterness and herbal grassiness. Very thin on your palate. Nice finish.

Clear golden copper color. Nice head that quickly dissipates. Some lacing. Grassy/apple aroma with a woodsy/eathy note. I also get some green olive in the nose. This beer is soft on the palate. Malty with some oak background. Light silky finish. This is a good around the hose beer. It isn’t a palate braker.

Scipio (749) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Pours a clear golden with a white head that rapidly dissipates. The aroma is more subtle, but it is enticing. Pine, grapefruit, lemon, and grass. It seems to be more along the line of a mild IPA, only better than your lower grade ones. Taste is quite bitter throughout. Mostly grapefruit with some milder pine. There is a little bit of a soapy taste in there as well, especially at the end. Outside of this, while more simple, its actually pretty tasty. This one is crisp and refreshing. Light in body, with a good amount of lively carbonation. I have to say I enjoyed this. It is mostly straightforward and not very complex, but that is ok. Its a great session beer.

mgajdaczewa (748) - Katowice, POLAND - JUN 22, 2014
No i dla hopheadów...

On tap. A clear gold color with a white head that stays around and a bit of lacing. Pleasant hoppy aroma with some lemon zest. The flavor is mostly hops with a bit of the lemon and a long aftertaste.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours a nice golden straw color. Nose is passion fruit, peaches and lime. First sip pale malt, bready flavors with tangy citrus and hoppy bittern ess that lingers nicely.

Linc (737) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 25, 2007
Pleasantly hoppy aroma. Very pleasing balance of malt and citrus hop flavours, though sweetness is a bit on the high-side making for a slightly cloying after palate. A bit too syrupy to be a great session beer.

GuilTTy (728) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - APR 20, 2005
Amber pour with a medium to small fluffy off-white head and some lacing. Floral aroma with some hops, perfume and a touch of grapefruit. Balanced but underwhelming flavors of malt, citrus and vanilla with a mildly hoppy backbone. Finish was dry and short. An average APA but but without real character. Easy to drink but not easy to remember - plenty of better choices out there.
