Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Tap at brewery. Clear golden pour with a steady white head. Aroma is dank floral hops with pine and a bit of citrus over a dry, biscuity malt backbone. Impressive pungency on the aroma. Taste is clean, dry hop bitterness with balancing dry bready malt and a spike of pine/bitterness into the finish. Mouthfeel is spot f-ing on for the style. Brilliant beer. Flawless.

This is truly my favorite drinking beer of all time. Amazing tea grapefruit and floral nose with a bitterness that never burns or bites. Taste is green tea, rose petals and grapefruit. Palate is sharp carbonation that hits bitter for just a moment then leaves a taste of tea on my tongue. Absolutely delicious. Straight from the bottle is my favorite.

Absolutely my favorite beer. Great fresh hop aroma from the Cascade & Centennial hops. Dark gold in appearance w/ a slight head that slowly dissipates leaving a sticky lacing on the glass. Flavor is hop forward w/ a slight malty flavor on the finish. Very easy drinking and great at 4.9%.

A perfect Cali pale ale...citrus beginning gives way to a balanced bitterness...a smooth drop off for a finish. add to the fact that it is only 147 calories, and this is my go to session beer.

A near perfect light ale with a subtle but extremely refreshing flavor. This is the perfect summer afternoon brew.

Pours blonde with one inch head. Delicate balance between moderate citric bitterness and light grain. Crisp, dry, and sessionable. Very flavorful for a sub 5% beer. Pretty much perfect pale ale.

On tap at source. Northwest hop aroma of pine and citrus. Flavor if mild malts and slight fruity esters finished out by hoppy bitterness.

I like the hoppiness. Visited the brewery while on vacation and loved the beer and decided to buy some to bring back. A very good beer if you like a hoppier pale ale.

oooo-eeeee.......das a miiighty fine brew! Fragrant fresh hop nose, nice head that dissipates somewhat. verrry very drinkable. Friendly beer. Looks great in my goblet: in the wide part a tarnished gold, and in the thin part a nice yellow gold. Good mouth and a flavor that matches the aroma. Satisfying, yet alluring. Maybe a hair thiner than Sierra Nevada, but better flavor. Got this bottle in a beer a the month. Wish we could get it in La Crosse.
