COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Pours a deep golden amber. Medium head, nice lacing. Floral and pine scents come through, slightly sweet. Nice carbonation and crisp, clean finish. Overall very solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gold with a medium head; average appearance. Initial sulphury (skunked?) lager smell, followed by grape and earthy hop, then rubber. Light and dry with some peach fruitiness and big spicy noble hop flavor. Crisp body, clean bitter finish. Finally, an American pale that is more hop-expressive than most IPAs and doesn’t taste like canned fruit salad.

Lots of grassy citrus on the nose. Light yellow with plenty of effervescence. Taste of bitter fruit and a hint of Ritz Cracker malt. Light crispy body with a nice hop zing. Great light-side APA.

courtesy of Jürg Kohler - light blond-orange beer with a poor foam left; pineapple and grapefruity hoppiness; medium-bodied, decently tasty and quite bitter; moderate carbonation; pretty dry and long fruity hoppy reminiscence of bitter oranges and grapefruit
