COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

On draft was clear and golden with small white head and light lacing. Nose of malts and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor shows citrus hops and there is a light bitterness in the finish. Decent and drinkable.

12 oz. bottle at TJ’s. Poured hazy gold. Extremely smooth and light, crisp citrus hoppiness. More characteristic of an extra pale ale. Was expecting a little bit more from these guys but this one is very sessionable at least.

pours a nice amber with a decent head that quickly dissipates. Smell is of grapefruit, flowers and pine needles. Taste is a little on the watery side, but has a nice hop kick to it. Overall a decent beer.

Poured an effervescent golden with a fizzy/frothy off-white head. Bitter citrusy hops, with a touch of floor cleaner character. Tastes of mild citrus with a small hop kick, slight sweet smoothness. Rather smooth body... not as much presence as I would like. Easy drinking but bland.

Very pleasant APA with pine and grapefruit hoppiness I like so much, but not overpowering the slightly sweet malt base of caramel and toffee. Excellent beer.

One of my favorite pale ales. Light hoppiness gives it just enough chacter for a good pale ale.

had this on the beach in PB. surprised by the golden color that it had as much hoppy character. sligt citrus nose carries through to the palate with more fresh hops. balanced well. better then i thought it would be. served a little too warm in a plastic cup that looked like glass??

12oz bottle: Mostly clear amber body with a small white head that is somewhat lasting. The aroma is malty, sweet, light caramel, and has some light citrus hop notes. Taste is sweet malt up front, a bit of caramel, and then fresh, grassy hops, sugary grains, bitter caramel, cereal, and lemon. Light-medium bodied, medium carbonated, finishes with mild grassy hops.
