COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Single bottle dated 12/17/12. Yet it’s the freshest and biggest hop nose I’ve gotten from just popping the cap! Pours a light amber color under a thick pillow of foam. Malts are nice and sticky, yet leave a sort of dry finish. Hops are thick too, and resiny for a kind of candy feeling. Despite its light alcohol, it’s pretty intoxicating.

12oz bottle from Spirits Fischer Blvd. Poured a clear straw yellow with lots of rising effervescence and a smaller foamy bright white head. Aroma/flavor of tangerines, grassy hops, straw and citrus rind. Medium body with stronger carbonation and a quicker fading aftertaste. Decent but not life changing.

On tap at source. Northwest hop aroma of pine and citrus. Flavor if mild malts and slight fruity esters finished out by hoppy bitterness.

Golden body with fluffy white head. Fresh citrus, floral nose with some pine. Taste is hoppy, floral notes combined with malty sweetness. Some grain flavor comes through as well. Moderate bitters with nice peppery finish.

Bottled. Pours clear golden with a small, lacing and white head. Aroma of flowers, citrus and caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and pleasant bitter. Light to medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice APA. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Pleasant moderately high grapefruit, spicy hop aroma. Appearance is a clear gold with a white head with good lacing. Moderately high grapefruit, spicy hop character with complementary malt flavor of toast, biscuit and notes of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, it's a great tasting pale ale. The hop aroma and flavor is great with underlining malt support. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Pale gold and brilliantly clear, with a fizzy grayish head that dissipates quickly. Aroma has orange and grapefruit peel along with a smooth earthiness. Pronounced bitterness in the flavor, which is led by citric and grassy hops until the swallow delivers notes of orange blossom honey, baked bread and roses. The finish has a palate-wiping quality, making this one extremely qauffable.

Bottle (12 oz) bought @ Cambridge Wine & Spirits. Hotel Room Tasting.

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow-golden with a small bubbly white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Leafy and grassy hops with lemony notes along mild grains and light spiciness.

Taste: Quite leafy and grassy here too with a light but efficient malt backbone, floral presence, crisp biscuity cereals and lemony notes.

Palate: Light to medium body. Medium carbonation. Moderately dry finish. Grassy.

Overall: Tasty leafy american pale ale. Well balanced, easy to drink and quenching.
