COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

bottle - clear golden beer with a white head with tons of american hops aroma! Very nice! Flavour is malty what is balanced by a decent bitterness. But bitterness is not extreme. Medium carbonation.

Draft. Pale gold and brilliantly clear, with a fizzy grayish head that dissipates quickly. Aroma has orange and grapefruit peel along with a smooth earthiness. Pronounced bitterness in the flavor, which is led by citric and grassy hops until the swallow delivers notes of orange blossom honey, baked bread and roses. The finish has a palate-wiping quality, making this one extremely qauffable.

Bottle (12 oz) bought @ Cambridge Wine & Spirits. Hotel Room Tasting.

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow-golden with a small bubbly white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Leafy and grassy hops with lemony notes along mild grains and light spiciness.

Taste: Quite leafy and grassy here too with a light but efficient malt backbone, floral presence, crisp biscuity cereals and lemony notes.

Palate: Light to medium body. Medium carbonation. Moderately dry finish. Grassy.

Overall: Tasty leafy american pale ale. Well balanced, easy to drink and quenching.

Bottle at hotel room tasting, bottled 04-02-2015. Very pale gold pour, clear, thin white foam. Aroma is super leafy, nice fresh hoppiness with biscuity malt notes, a bit English style, love the balance here. Taste is leafy, light tea, Earl Grey, biscuity maltiness, very easy drinking, dry finish. Palate is light-med bodied with good carbonation. Tasty everyday beer.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2015 Pours a clear light golden with a thin head that doesn’t leave much lacing. Nose is of fruity hops, lightly herbal and just really pleasing overall. Taste is fruity with some light supporting caramel and just hoppy otherwise. Body is medium and carbonation light. Overall a solid "session" beer by Firestone Walker!
