COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Bottled on 7/31/12. Shit, just noticed that. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a medium white lacy head. Nice citrusy nose; I’m also getting SweeTarts and some age after it sits for a few minutes. Tastes a little past its prime. I really wish I would have noticed that born on date before my purchase. It’s a little sweet and a little bitter. Other than the noticeable age, this tastes pretty clean. Highly carbonated and light-bodied. Let me re-rate a fresher version of this when I get a chance.

Flaska från Ralphs LA. Ljus bärnsten med vitt skum. Lätt humledoft med lite tallbarr. Inte fruktig, snarare lätt med lite humlecitrus och väldigt liten beska.

Clear golden, small white head. Aroma has toffee and citrusy hops. Flavour is similar, but definately weaker than the aroma suggests. Hints of honey in otherwise rather light finish.

Slightly hazy golden with a spongy head. Aroma is floral and a little dank. Taste clean with citrus and grain notes. A bit of metallic feeling around mid-palate, and again on tongue afterwards, but fleeting both times. A nice pale ale, but I suspect my sample was a bit old. Would probably be amazing fresh

Pale, clear and bright golden with visible carbonation. Soft filmy head, light lacing. Bright bouquet, floral and sawdusty. Initial taste is steely, soft simple bitterness and watered down lemon and wee winks of mint. Soft enough, maybe a wee bit creamy mouthfeel. Finishes clean and neat, little bit brassy hop on the linger. Very simple, drinkable but not much to it. Keg, Hanging Bat.
