2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the Brewery Tasting Room This is only beer that gave me trouble. I am not a coffee drinker and this was like a cup of coffee. Coffee was strong on the nose and throughout. The stout poured a dark brown. The medium body with average carbonation. I am a fan of stouts but this was too much like coffee expresso. I did not detect the chocolate flavors..

At the Uppers and Downers event. Pours a dark brown. Getting some fusel alcohol notes. Very strong. Coffee is an add to this one and not a major player.

A deep and heavy stout with hints of smoke, bourbon, coffee, and vanilla. Nice and strong gravity that wafts the aroma straight up into your nose. Excellent beer!

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roastiness, bourbon, oak, coffee, dark chocolate and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of coffee, bourbon, roasted malt, oak, light smoke and light vanilla with a smooth dry lingering coffee finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at the Livermore Saloon anniversary party. It pours the typical dark brown/black color with a tan head. The aroma is toasty and chocolaty. Very light notes of bourbon and not as coffee forward as I expected. The flavor is again, toasty, chocolaty with lots of sweet vanilla and the coffee coming through in the finish. Very good beer, but I was surprised that I liked the regular Parabola better since Iím a coffee beer lover.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
One of my favorite beers with a combination of coffee and stout roasted flavors. The barrel ageing adds character. The only thing is; the atringency takes away from the excellent finish. Still a terrific beer!
