Medium brown, not much head, very toasty, almost marshmallowy nose is pretty intense, bringing waves of dark malt and boozy richness. Very rich palate, stacks of vanilla, biltong, alcohol, prunes, burnt sugars...complex and intense, a nerd favourite.

Excelente Imperial Stout barrel-aged! Cor escura, licorosa, com pouca formação de espuma. Aroma de café, chocolate amargo, tabaco, bourbon, baunilha. Complexo. Na boca, desce aveludada, repetindo as notas do aroma. Final longo, com álcool aquecedor, bem inserido. Excelente breja!

Bottle purchased Julio’s Liquor in 2012. Aroma is just elegant. Sweet subtle bourbon, molasses, brown sugar, roasted malt, bourbon vanilla and dark fruit. Makes me want to chug this beautiful beast.
Flavor is up with some of the best Imperial stouts I have ever had. Should I spew the countless flavors I taste here? Bourbon is a light smooth undertone throughout the sip. Toasted oak upfront with vanilla, light sugar, caramel and lingering mellow roasted chocolate malts. Absolutely smooth and aged to near perfection. Hot damn, nice way to celebrate my #3000 rating. Shared with three friends.

2012 bottle, aged two yrs. Pours dark with a khaki colored foam head. The aroma is of sweet toasted malts, burnt carmel, mild sweet bourbon booze scents, soft oak aroma, and vanilla. In the flavor I enjoyed the body and balancing of flavors. I noticed sweet malts, sweet bourbon, mild to medium booze intensity, sugary sweetner, soft bitter dark malts, chocolate, and vanilla. The finish is roasty, boozy, light bitterness that fades, and lasting sweetness that is not overbearing. Overall this was a damn fine brew. I doubt that I could age another one of these a few yrs.

Incredible. Pours very dark. Full bodied, thick, slightly oily and so full of flavor you have no choice but to sip. Dark malt, tobacco, molasses, hint of sweetness, chocolate, nothing burnt. Some fruits, hint of coconut and booze. A little of everything really. Quite well blended and smooth. One sip and you practically taste forever.

Taster at Zeebra II.
Pours totally black with a thin dark brown head on top. Good retention, renews itself with every swirl of the glass and leaves light lacing behind.
Aroma of a good matured whiskey, burned wood, rye.
Taste of dark chocolate, roasted malts, light bourbon, wood, a touch of smoke, alcohol. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste, and coffee notes with a roasted character.
Full body with a smooth texture, good levels of carbonation. Sticky palate.
Great beer, hopefully I will soon have a whole bottle of this one.
