5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
One of the best Bourbon barrel aged stout's I've eve tried. Not too coffee heavy, a hint of chocolate, vanilla and the bourbon notes are very well balanced.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from tap nearly black with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate licorice bourbon and oak. Taste is smooth and follows aroma and is quite boozy. Could use some cellaring.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Grill Next Door. Pours nearly black with a scant beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, molasses, bourbon, oak. Flavor is dark chocolate, licorice, lots of oak and bourbon. This is very good, but would benefit from some cellaring.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught. This is a big bad beast of a beer with so much depth and nuance it is hard to describe. Seek it out and consume.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of toasted, dark chocolate and molasses, moderate resin and earth for the hops and yeast, with notes of bourbon, licorice, tar and alcohol. Head is small, creamy, brown with slipper lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is black. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is full, syrupy, with a soft carbonation and a lightly to moderately alcoholic finish. Super dark and rich in aromas and flavors, and all in perfect balance. World class Imperial Stout.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Tasted from bottle. Pours black with dark brown head. Amazing aroma of chocolate, coffee, bourbon. Taste definitely does not disappoint. Flavors of chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits, spices, caramel, toffee, coffee. Syrup and clingy mouthfeel. Moderately sweet with mild to moderate bitterness. You do get a little alcohol burn from the high ABV. Overall an amazing imperial stout. Definitely one of the best I've ever had.

Fantastic beer. Drank it side by side with BCBS and could hardly tell a difference. Black pour from 22oz bottle at home. Full whiskey, vanilla, coconut, chocolate and cocoa flavor. Outstanding beer
