4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. 2012. Soy sauce. Opaque black body. Tastes far better than it smells. Rich, milk chocolate with some malt in the finish. Really unbelievably outstanding and doesn’t taste as strong as it is.

Russian Imperials are all pretty delicious, but this is a complex, flavorful new factories (along with Ten Fidy. Speaking of which, I'm drinking this at OB for my rehearsal dinner. Thanks for getting the tab, Mom and Dad!).

22 oz bottle. Pours an opaque pitch black. Beige head is lasting with minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, prominent bourbon aroma. Flavor is absolutely fabulous. This is the ideal flavor and complexity for a barrel aged stout. The standard for all other stouts to be measured.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a 0.65l bottle @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Been searching a while for this little treat and finally, my turn! It pours a deep dark brown, not directly black but more dark brown body with a small sidesticking light brown top. Not to much aroma at first, but leaving it in the glass for a while, it really starts to push out some lovely licorice and dark roasted coffee! Chocolate is also present. A thing that reminds me of sea salt also hits the nose after a while in the glass, whisky perhaps? Really nice. Loaded with flavors! The licorice is just out of this world delicious! Almost like candy.. Dark chocolate, perfectly roasted on the malty side with a little bit of sweet and gently warming alcohol. Damn this is tasty! Salty finish with loads of licorice in the aftertaste. Could easy drink this all day/night long. 03.05.2013

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pitch black with thin mocha head and frothy lacing. Nose was dominated by vanilla, chocolate and a sweet, oaky bourbon. A lot of caramel malts and roast. Mouth also had a decent amount of bourbon, but it blended well with a lot of vanilla, coffee, caramel and anise. A slightly dry, bitter finish that lingered for a bit.
