Bottle @tasting. Pours black with a tan head. Nose of coffee some sweetness, chocolate and caramel with an almost, "is it there? Yes, it is," hint of tobacco. Vanilla on the palate, fruity and caramel, would have loved to have had this with a dessert.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a thick black color with a finger of khaki foam. The nose is great with layers of bakers chocolate, tobacco, burnt sugar, vanilla, bourbon and charred wood. The palate follows the nose with a sliky mouthfeel and tons of flavors that somehow balance each other out into a beautiful stout. Nothing sticks out as too much and nothing leaves you wishing there was more... just a plain old great beer that needs to be drank rather than read about , More PLEASE !

Last night in Vegas. We were all feeling super sick from all the festivities. We cured it with this. Josh said it tasted like soy sauce. Maybe he’s a little right, but screw you. This sucker made a sick dude happy. I want to go to there again. The beer, not Vegas.

22oz bottle (2012 vintage) shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours dark creamy black-brown with small dark brown head. Nose is fruity bourbon and roasty coffee bean, dark chocolate. Taste is rich creamy coffee, dark chocolate, mocha, cream, vanilla. Finish is bitter roasty mocha and coffee with very well balanced bourbon fruitiness and just a touch of heat. Fantastic!

2013 bomber poured into a sexual chocolate teku. thanks to axnjxn over at BA for the bottle trade!
pours a dark brown on the edge of black, finger-width cafe au lait head that dissipates quickly leaving next to no lacing. nose is bourbon without the boozy burn, some oak and vanilla, a whisper of caramel. not getting much in the way of chocolate in the aroma. taste is mellow bourbon and cocoa up front, giving way to roast and charred wood. moderate carbonation and a slight back-end burn that gives the lie to the 13% abv, some coating and lingering roastiness. overall a fantastic bbl imperial stout. if bcbs is your nearest comparison, this is more roasty where bcbs is sweet.

Great, dark malty beer, the ABV comes through a little which is okay considering how robust this beer is. The Walker does it again with another solid beer.

At RBNG 2014 Halden. Black color, good offwhite foam . Immediate high intensity aromas of malt, choclate, leather & some dried fruits. Full body & high complexity . Some bitterness, but on the sweet side. Very powerful & Very enjoyable beer.

2013 vintage on tap at Whole Foods. Pours a thick black color without much head. Sweet complex flavors with a mild bourbon barrel taste. Slight toffee notes. So mild.

A little too bourbony for me. Burnt coffee eww. Dark beer. Another Firestone disappointment for me.
