Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.

Nice mix, balances well between dark chocolate roast and barrel. Chocolate a little on sweet side. Barrel evident but not totally overpowering. Some smoke, light coffee. Pours black with decent head and lacing. Tap at Churchkey tap takeover.

Small sample from bottle @ Zeebra II. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet with licorice, tar, molasses and some roasted malts. Taste has roasted malts, dark chocolate, bourbon, alcohol and a medium bitter finish. Full body, soft carbo.

Tasty and solid imperial stout, just how I like ’em. Dark roasted malt and with an oaky touch.

Pours dark deep brown with a slightly frothy tan head. Nose picks up a strong plum and fig with a little rum undertone. Taste is a rich bouquet of rye and bourbon. It is a heavy beer at 13% yet there was only a slight alcohol taste but it doesn’t detract from the experience in the least. i took a point off of the palate because it was a little oily in the mouth feel.

Zwarte kleur met een goede lichtbruine kleur kraag. Ruikt vanille, crème en gebrand. Smaakt vol, vanille, gebrand en koffie. Iets creamy. Goede bittere en zware nasmaak.

22 ounce bottle (2014, 14% ABV) poured into a Belgian snifter. Pours jet black with half a finger of tan head, more of a ring. Fades to a super thin ring around the glass. Aromas of bourbon, coconut, vanilla, dark fruit, caramel, milk chocolate. Really fantastic aroma. Tasting notes of bourbon, dark chocolate, vanilla, a bit of coconut, subtle dark fruit, roast, oak. Full body with a dry and slightly warm finish. Thick oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Definitely one of my favorite bourbon barrel aged imperial stouts.

Also popped my year old 2013 vintage (13% ABV) on 5/2/2014. More dark fruit, roast, licorice. Bourbon is subdued. Prefer this fresh.

Pours transparent reddish brown. Lovely thick light Brown head. Aroma has lots of licorice, chocolate and Grown ups candy. Really delicious and exclusive. Complex barrel notes, licorice, perfect roast. Extremely good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
