Pitch black, thin brown head. Charred wood alternating with rich chocolate, caramel, plums, figs, and cherries. Velvety smooth, full-bodied, and the right amount of carbonation. Pleasant, mildly bitter, mildly boozy finish.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of black chocolate with some light vanilla notes and some light dry roasted malt. Taste is dominated by loads of black chocolate notes with some light dry roasted malt and some vanilla and light bourbon notes. Taste is definitely quite complex and not as dry as expected with quite a bit of residual sugar coming through. Body is full with a really nice creamy texture and some good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. I can’t find many fault in this beer except that that bourbon could bit a bit more pronounced.

Bottle. Pours black with a ring of cream head. Aroma is roasted malts and bourbon. Flavor is sweet malts, chocolate and a boozy bourbon finish. Very smooth, great aftertaste and just awesome. Nothing at all wrong with this.

Bomber poured into a tulip. Pours nearly black with a nice tan ring in the glass. Huge aroma of bourbon, oak, vanilla, roasty malt, and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet and quite bitter. Mouthfeel is very smooth, coats the tongue. Great!

WOWOW! lots of stuff in aroma; I can’t name all of them - alcohol, much chocolate roasts, CHOCOLATE. 5 for app (darrrrk) and palate (smooth and thick). Taste was near perfection - chocolate, choc. milk bourbon, slight vanilla, DAMMMMOT this is great - must find more!! tied for my highest rated beer ever!!!

From bottle, courtesy of dpjuart. Awesome nose. Oak, vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, coffee, toffee, caramel. Just a real nice blend of aromas. Dark black opaque with thin creamy tan head. Heavy oily body with medium-high carbonation, chewy with alcohol warming. Starts sweet with alcohol, oak, vanilla, bourbon. Boozy and a tad too sweet, but rich and delicious, silky and smooth. Terrific impy stout, with a hint of soy sauce and broth at the very end.

Pours jet black, motor oil thickness with no head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, roast and molasses. Taste is bourbon, oak vanilla and roast. Nice and chewy, flavor increases as it warms, there is a lot going on here. I really like this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, wood, vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate, coconut. Flavor is malts, bourbon, oak, wood, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits, plums, figs. Lots going and still very well balanced. Full body, soft carbonation, light warming alcohol in the finish. Fan-fuckin-tastic over the top beer. 040213
