Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.

2014 Parabola AROMA: Chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, booze, tobacco, slight coffee, slight caramel, smells amazing! APPEARANCE: Pitch black, leaves a small espresso like head on a heavy pour, exactly how a stout should look like! TASTE: Follows the nose exactly, the booze is minimal in the taste, itís just enough to get it some warmth and lively character PALATE: Thick, oily, slightly syrupy, and creamy OVERALL: Fantastic stout, one of the best and especially for the price!

Jet black pour with a tan head. Aromas of bourbon barrels, pipe tobacco, cocoa, and dark fruit. Flavor is big dark chocolate with notes of molasses and anise. Very complex. Finish is rich and robust with slight warming from the abv. Delicious brew.

Pours a very dark black, no head. Aroma is really special. Vanilla, sweet bourbon, oak, a strong woodiness, chocolate, dark fruits, tobacco?, some caramel... Taste is bourbon up front, vanilla, sweet chocolate, raisin, coffee... Just wonderfully complex. Itís really sweet. Full body, dry finish, great stout. Looking forward to seeing how this ages.

Poured jet black with little to no head. Lots of oak and bourbon on the nose. Not very hot for 14%. Choc and bourbon on the tongue. Lingering vanilla and brown sugar after taste.

what a wonderful beer. had at the brewery on tap and out of the bottle. has a dark fruit and bourbon nose to it,very complex and enjoyable. when i saw the abv imagined it would hard to hide the alcohol but they did it. the taste is similar to the nose but add in the barrel flavor and this beer becomes one of the best beers i have had

Bomber. Pours opaque coffee with thin tan head. Smells of molasses, maple, and alcohol. Drinks with a moderate alcoholic bite and mild lingering bitterness. Full bodied. Tastes of molasses, wood, maple vanilla bourbon, coffee and toffee. Complex. Finishes with a warming sensation.

Pours dark black with a small tan head. Smell is not super appealing to me and is very soy sauce like with dark fruit, figgy, aromas next followed to a lesser extent with some vanilla and some bourbon, but iím not getting any roasted malt or coffee or tobacco or charred oak whatsoever which were the exact things I like in BA Imperial Stouts. Taste is dark chocolate, slight bourbon and a faint amount of alcohol peeks through. Sweeter side of imperial stouts, but still balanced enough. Oily mouthfeel with soft but lightly prickly carbonation. I really didnít like the way this smelled, and while the taste was much better and itís a very nicely made beer, overall it just does not justify the price to me at $20 a bottle here, and there are others I prefer as far as Barrel Aged Imperial Stouts go.
