Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.
An extension of Quercus Alba —the Firestone Walker Barrel aged program. Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.

Pours jet black with a nice oaky aroma. The body is thick almost syrupy but the flavors are bold. Strong notes of chocolate, oak, and vanilla. Finishes very smooth with the flavors lingering for a while. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber aged since 2012. Pours a deep dark brown with minimal chestnut foam. Big bourbon notes with heavy vanilla and alcohol scent. Heavy vanilla and caramel at first, finishes sweet with plenty of alcohol burn. One word: Amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sounds weird, but it just smells smooth. Oak, roasted malt, coffee, tobacco, chocolate...it is all well balanced and definitely doesn?t some across hot considering the abv. Really impressive.

Bottle. 2012. Soy sauce. Opaque black body. Tastes far better than it smells. Rich, milk chocolate with some malt in the finish. Really unbelievably outstanding and doesn’t taste as strong as it is.

Russian Imperials are all pretty delicious, but this is a complex, flavorful new factories (along with Ten Fidy. Speaking of which, I'm drinking this at OB for my rehearsal dinner. Thanks for getting the tab, Mom and Dad!). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2014 22 oz bottle. Pours an opaque pitch black. Beige head is lasting with minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, prominent bourbon aroma. Flavor is absolutely fabulous. This is the ideal flavor and complexity for a barrel aged stout. The standard for all other stouts to be measured. 2011 vintage opened with Huhzubendah. Perfection.
