COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.
An extension of Quercus Alba —the Firestone Walker Barrel aged program. Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2013 Aroma is a really nice balanced note of chocolate, roast and barrel qualities. Some complimentary fruit character. Nice oak, vanilla and oak character. Some faint booziness in the aroma. Pours a dark brown, not quite black with a thin light mocha head that quickly recedes to the edges. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is so nice. Light chocolate and faint roast with balanced fruitiness. Some sweet vanilla and milk chocolate. Fruit is prune and cherry. A bit of alcohol spice in the finish with oak and roast. Medium low bitterness and a faint hop flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. some silky smoothness to this. Overall this is an amazingly nice beer. So well balanced and with a great mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of toasted, dark chocolate and molasses, moderate resin and earth for the hops and yeast, with notes of bourbon, licorice, tar and alcohol. Head is small, creamy, brown with slipper lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is black. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is full, syrupy, with a soft carbonation and a lightly to moderately alcoholic finish. Super dark and rich in aromas and flavors, and all in perfect balance. World class Imperial Stout.

Tasted from bottle. Pours black with dark brown head. Amazing aroma of chocolate, coffee, bourbon. Taste definitely does not disappoint. Flavors of chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits, spices, caramel, toffee, coffee. Syrup and clingy mouthfeel. Moderately sweet with mild to moderate bitterness. You do get a little alcohol burn from the high ABV. Overall an amazing imperial stout. Definitely one of the best I've ever had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Finally a beer that lived up to the hype! This was truly worth the hassle of obtaining. Taste mouthful is world class. Creamy burbon explosion describes it best.

Pours jet black with very little head retention and no lacing. Smells of caramel and butterscotch. A very good beer. Tastes like butterscotch and you can really taste the bourbon in this. Love it!
