COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.

2012 bottle, aged two yrs. Pours dark with a khaki colored foam head. The aroma is of sweet toasted malts, burnt carmel, mild sweet bourbon booze scents, soft oak aroma, and vanilla. In the flavor I enjoyed the body and balancing of flavors. I noticed sweet malts, sweet bourbon, mild to medium booze intensity, sugary sweetner, soft bitter dark malts, chocolate, and vanilla. The finish is roasty, boozy, light bitterness that fades, and lasting sweetness that is not overbearing. Overall this was a damn fine brew. I doubt that I could age another one of these a few yrs.

On tap, dark brown pour with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, oak and bourbon. Taste of roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, slight coffee, oak, and bourbon. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, well balanced. Long bourbon finish that lasts forever.

Incredible. Pours very dark. Full bodied, thick, slightly oily and so full of flavor you have no choice but to sip. Dark malt, tobacco, molasses, hint of sweetness, chocolate, nothing burnt. Some fruits, hint of coconut and booze. A little of everything really. Quite well blended and smooth. One sip and you practically taste forever.

Taster at Zeebra II. Pours totally black with a thin dark brown head on top. Good retention, renews itself with every swirl of the glass and leaves light lacing behind. Aroma of a good matured whiskey, burned wood, rye. Taste of dark chocolate, roasted malts, light bourbon, wood, a touch of smoke, alcohol. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste, and coffee notes with a roasted character. Full body with a smooth texture, good levels of carbonation. Sticky palate. Great beer, hopefully I will soon have a whole bottle of this one.

2012 bottle aged at 55-60º

A mahogany pour leads to a black body with fiery auburn highlights, topped by a quickly fading half inch frothy dark khaki head creating extended thin horizontal peninsulas of lace, spots and thin peninsulas of alcohol decorate the snifter

Big, yet controlled notes of juicy bourbon and silky dark milk chocolate lead the way blending flawlessly into mingling, morphing layers of dates, cherry pie, cola, coffee, coconut, almond, toffee, toasted marshmallow, banana split... all on a slightly sticky, oily smooth, coating medium plus body, flavors evolving into treacle and vanilla on the finish with spirit warmth lightly drying and cleaning to reveal residuals echoing all the flavors and aromas, at this age the sweetness is perfectly articulated by all the drying, lean components, my brain is tingling, exceptional stout

Solid intensity, deep complexity, flawless transitions, everything a barrel aged stout should be, can the 2012 batch get any better?

22oz served at 55º and warming into Orrefors Difference Porter snifter

Flaske, købt for 250 kr i Mikkeler & Friends - og heldigvis god. Mørk, tæt, sort-brun, masser af tekstur og en flot, tyk, holdbar, cremet beige skum-krone. Rosiner i rom.. Sød wiener melange. Vanilie parfait. Let eg. Sveskemos. Kaffe. Choko. Balance. Zen.

Pours jet black with a nice oaky aroma. The body is thick almost syrupy but the flavors are bold. Strong notes of chocolate, oak, and vanilla. Finishes very smooth with the flavors lingering for a while. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber aged since 2012. Pours a deep dark brown with minimal chestnut foam. Big bourbon notes with heavy vanilla and alcohol scent. Heavy vanilla and caramel at first, finishes sweet with plenty of alcohol burn. One word: Amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
