This was a real treat. Very sessionable pilsner, crisp and refreshing with very light malt mouthfeel. Paired up great with an appetizer - perfect first beer out of the gate.

355ml/12floz bottle into a shaker; served cold.
Aroma: Grapefruit and lemony hops and light malt. Nice to find a pilsener that doesn’t reek of corn!
Appearance: Clear bright yellow body with a quickly dissipating white head. Lotsa bubbles. Super lacing!
Taste: Wow that is nice and hoppy! Grapefruit and other citrus hops; not as bitter as your west coast IPAs at all. Bold but nothing that’s gonna scare away new craft drinkers. Nice malt backbone.
Palate: Light-medium body, not watery at all. Moderate duration on the finish, which is mildly bitter and sits on the back of the tongue.
Overall: Exemplary pilsener with that hoppy west-coast twist. Really great stuff. Good for newcomers to craft beer as well as veterans looking for something light but uncompromising.

Wow. Yes this is good. Lightly hazed yellow, frothy short head, slight lace.
Lemon grainy sweet butter aroma. Grassy hoppy floral, citrus, sweet grainy malt deliciousness. Great concept, and it works well. I really like the german/boemian thing it does work. This beer here makes me proud to buy beer made in America! Not surpised that its a great beer, Firestone has created a great quality brand of beer. Everything they make is high quality. One of the best Pilsners Ive had ever.

Shared with EricTeusink. This was super fresh skunky hops awesomeness. Pours a completely clear gold with nice white head that clings to the glass throughout. Nose is more citrus than most pils with a clean malt profile and some of that known pils hops character as well. Taste is more fresh pils hops, citrus, and clean malt. Wonderful pils. And I am a sucker for a good one.

Pint at Falling Rock. Best way to describe this: solid, clean pils. It’s not an overhopped American take, but a solidly hoppy and remarkably clean pils. Lots of dough, crackers, spicy wooden hops, immaculately clean malt and hop balance. It’s a little late in the year for me to drink a lot of this, but next spring and summer it is on. It is on.

Bottle, crystal clear very light straw color. No head, just a quick fizzy effervescence. Pale malt light cidery aroma. Clean fairly bitter light grain and cereal flavor. Some nice hoppy tones late. A pilsener with some character. Nice

Very nice tones of citrus and just the right amount of bitterness. Had this at GABF and was very happy.

After having the Shorts Spruce Pils, everything else is playing catch up. This pours slightly darker than a traditional Pilsener with a slight white head. Piney scent. Good bite that masks a rather ho hum back end. Bottle - Shared with Westmeister

Draft at Euclid Hall in Denver, Colorado. The pour is clear golden with a thick one inch white head. Nice lace on the glass. The aroma is cracker biscuit malt along with floral grass hops. Fresh nose. The taste is a nice clean balance between the cracker malt and the softly bitter grass hops. The soft sweetness of the malt comes out a bit as the beer warms. The palate is light bodied, dry grassy finish. Nice Pils.

Bottle 2 months old. Pours crystal straw with a bit of lace. The aroma is really well expressed lightly toasted grain, grass, a bit of pepper, and lemony finish. The flavor is very clean herbal bitter, light citrus astringency. Feel is slick and lively. Probably the best American pils I have had. Awesome.
