Shared with EricTeusink. This was super fresh skunky hops awesomeness. Pours a completely clear gold with nice white head that clings to the glass throughout. Nose is more citrus than most pils with a clean malt profile and some of that known pils hops character as well. Taste is more fresh pils hops, citrus, and clean malt. Wonderful pils. And I am a sucker for a good one.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pint at Falling Rock. Best way to describe this: solid, clean pils. It’s not an overhopped American take, but a solidly hoppy and remarkably clean pils. Lots of dough, crackers, spicy wooden hops, immaculately clean malt and hop balance. It’s a little late in the year for me to drink a lot of this, but next spring and summer it is on. It is on.

Bottle, crystal clear very light straw color. No head, just a quick fizzy effervescence. Pale malt light cidery aroma. Clean fairly bitter light grain and cereal flavor. Some nice hoppy tones late. A pilsener with some character. Nice

Very nice tones of citrus and just the right amount of bitterness. Had this at GABF and was very happy.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
After having the Shorts Spruce Pils, everything else is playing catch up. This pours slightly darker than a traditional Pilsener with a slight white head. Piney scent. Good bite that masks a rather ho hum back end. Bottle - Shared with Westmeister

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Euclid Hall in Denver, Colorado. The pour is clear golden with a thick one inch white head. Nice lace on the glass. The aroma is cracker biscuit malt along with floral grass hops. Fresh nose. The taste is a nice clean balance between the cracker malt and the softly bitter grass hops. The soft sweetness of the malt comes out a bit as the beer warms. The palate is light bodied, dry grassy finish. Nice Pils.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 2 months old. Pours crystal straw with a bit of lace. The aroma is really well expressed lightly toasted grain, grass, a bit of pepper, and lemony finish. The flavor is very clean herbal bitter, light citrus astringency. Feel is slick and lively. Probably the best American pils I have had. Awesome.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a straw color with a small but thick head and nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is Herbal and Pungent, a little salty with some nice yeasty doughiness & light citrus hoppiness.
The flavor is nicely bitter with a light doughy sweetness up front. Overall the beer is basically dry and has plenty of herbal hoppiness... It does have a mild cidery note and some light fruitiness in general.
A total shelf beer!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not hoppy at all. Even lass hoppy than many German pils. Light easy to drink thin head. Very smooth.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate floral and grassy hops with some light grain, spice, and just a touch of honey. It pours a transparent gold/yellow with a large white head that leaves behind a good amount of soapy lacing. The flavor starts with a quick dose of fruit, honey, and faint sweet citrus. The finish has light-moderate grassy hops, straw, and a touch of grain. It’s light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, a very refreshing and tasty Pilsner. Too bad this isn’t available in Michigan.
