COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Everything we love about classic German Pilsner with a hoppy Bohemian twist. Pils is a bright straw colored lager beer with playful carbonation topped with beautiful white foam lace. Delicate lightly toasted malt flavors underscore noble German hop character. Hallertau-grown Magnum hops deliver the lupulin foundation while generous amounts of Spalter Select hops bring floral aromatic and spicy herbal notes. As a twist on the traditional Pils, we dry hop with German Saphir for a touch of bergamot zest and lemongrass. A refreshing, light-bodied and hop-driven Pils.

Bottle. Pours a very light straw color, with a solid head. Light aroma, mostly hop-driven, but with a hint of malt in the undertones. Refreshing flavor - the hops provide notes of citrus and a bit of pine; the malt complements the hops nicely, but lets them shine. A lot of subtle complexity. Very nice example of the style.

On tap at The Library Alehouse. A really good beer, recommended by the bartender. Clear, pale yellow pour. A light grassy, sweet aroma. Not overpowering at all. A nice balance of light flavors, more to the slightly sweet side. Medium to high carbonation. Finishes pretty clean. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden colored body, medium size white head, soapy lacing. Light florals, grassy, soft citrus, crackery grains. Medium to light bodied, moderate to lively carbonation, mild bitterness, not enough crispness.

A - pours clear bright yellow with no head. S - smells like a Pilsner. Light and grainy. M - light body with a little texture on the end. T - strong Pilsner. Grains, corn, malts, done. O - a simple richer Pilsner

Cloudy golden with white head. Slight piney citrus hop aroma. Citrus clean pilsner malt start, quickly gives way to IPL-like hoppyness. Then finishes with long citrus cereal with a hint of pine. May be too much hop for a pilsner, but I'm not complaining.

Transfer from BA review on 12-7-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a crystal clear yellow-straw color with a big fizzy white head. The head has a decent level of retention but fades over time as large bubbles pop within, eventually disappearing and leaving a lighter level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a grainy smell mixed with some citrus lemon aromas. Along with these smells are some grassy and floral aromas as well as a bit of a biscuit and cracker like smells. Taste – The taste begins with a malty cracker like taste with a moderately strong showing of some lemon flavors and a bit of floral hops. Some lighter sweetness is present upfront which when mixed with the lemon give an almost lemonade like flavor. The light sweetness fades as the flavor advances with the taste becoming more dry toward the end. Along with the drying out of the taste, so too comes other hop flavors of a grassy and herbal nature. Furthermore a grainy taste comes to the tongue more toward the middle of the tongue with it getting more and more potent to the end of the flavor. With a little bit of the lemonade sweetness returning to the flavor once again at the very end, one is left with a nice lightly sweetened and hopped grainy flavor to be left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to slightly heavier side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average. The thicker body of the brew helps accentuate the grainy and hop flavors quite well, really allowing these nice flavors to stand out on the tongue Overall – A rather pleasant and easy drinking pils. With a slightly higher hop profile then the typical pilsner this is a nice switch up from the standard.

Poured a very, very faint yellow. Look like a Coors light. Soft nose. In the mouth, it is very faint, with little hop character. I might actually change my score, because it’s actually quite session able.

"An above average, flavorful pilsner that was enjoyable somehow, even in the midst of double jacks, sours and myriad barreled beers. Crisp and clean, but doesn’t skimp on the goods...light delicate floral hops, crisp breadiness."

Pour is a clear straw with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is a nice citrus hop with some bready malt. Flavor is maybe not as hoppy as the aroma lets on but the hops are still there. Spicy hop finish with a nice dry malt. A very pleasant and clean beer. Kinda old world beer style with a modern twist. I don’t know if FW does cans but this would be the perfect beer to put in cans.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, smells refreshing and like lemon. Looks bright yellow with some foam. Thought that the citrus taste took the place of the Pils bite that I was expecting and is noticeably missing, didn’t really seem hoppy either. Pretty good if you aren’t expecting it to be a classic German Pils, definitely different.
