Bomber: Shared by Benzai: Served in a Duvel glass: Black beer with a light brown head. Aromas of roast, poop, chalk, tar, cacoa, alcohol, raisin, liquorice... Strange but ok aroma... Flavours of spice/alcohol, roast, liquorice, wood roast, some tequila, sharp/stingy, less sweet soy, chalk, cacoa... It’s ok but still tastes a bit young... Aftertaste is a mix of wood roast, some fruit tones, bitters, chocolate with a sprinkle of tequila. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, full bodied.

Bottle @ home shared with Countbeer. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized brown head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, bourbon, raisins, lightly vanilla, chocolate, sweet overripe dark fruits. Taste malts, lightly vanilla, bourbon, tequila comes through a little while I didn’t get that in the aroma, alcohol, bitter, slightly roasted malts. Medium body, medium carbonation. Lovely beer, but the flavor isn’t on the same level as the aroma.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours clear and almost black with copper highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet is chocolaty, nutty and boozy with an undercurrent of toasted coconut. Full-bodied and velvety with tickling carbonation. The bittersweet, woodsy flavor is also boozy, chocolaty, burnt and nutty. Deep-roast finish. Fantastic, world-class blend supplied by 50belair!

Bottle bought at Toronado SF in August 2013. Batch nr 001. Black with a small tan head. Very nice aroma of licorice, tequila and something that reminded of Kahlua. Similar taste, also dark chocolate, dried fruit and oak. The finish was long and with warming alcohol. A great beer!

@Gyllenbock 14-11-17: härligt fyllig doft med stora toner av arrak och tequila. Härlig smak med balanserad fat. Stora toner av torr kaffe och bitter choklad. Fin len eftersmak. Het men gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Sample from 2013 bottle at Kurtkeller 018: Tequila-aged and Let’s Agree to Ruin Our Evening with Pepper beers-tastic 01 on 11/04/2014. The beer is an opaque black color with a medium thick tan head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, dark fruit and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, figs, chocolate malt and subtle tequila. The finish is oaky and chocolaty with a boozy aftertaste. Very good all around.

Bottle, batch 1. Bottled 17 May 2013, consumed 26 Sept 2014. Thanks, Chris! Pours jet black with a dense, creamy, dark brown head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is awesome. Rich, dense and layered, there’s dark chocolate, dark wheat bread, buckwheat honey, and a beautiful tequila note, rich with its agave character. Booze is shockingly well hidden. Toasted bread, toasted agave, brown sugar, mild toffee, some earth, a touch of cinnamon. Really good. The palate opens big, full and with a blend of booze and sweetness. Dark brown sugar, toffee, dark chocolate, flavors of German fitness bread and a mild Kahlua note are present. The mid palate is where the tequila character really comes out. Toasted agave, mild vanilla, plenty of tequila flavor. A long, mildly biker, moderately roasty finish with a blend of tequila, caramel, buckwheat honey and dark chocolate are present. Immaculate palate. Exceptional stuff.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown, almost black color with a smaller sized off white head. I would say the tequila on more the subtle side and not in your face - which worked nicely. Wood, roast, vanilla and some dark fruits with a lighter alcohol finish (but not 13+%).

Flaska (nr 1 !? hur coolt är inte det?). Känns att det är en härlig och bra öl i grunden. Men tequilafatet har inte gjort den bättre.
