3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at old Chicago in Southeast Aurora, CO (right off the E-470) May 2012-pours hazy dark orange with a small fizzy head around the glass edge. nose is unasuming grains and lite lemon-clean yet boring. flavors of sweet grains and lite zest some sour mash in the finish, yet to me, its not a good thing. seems a bit over-rated if you ask me. Maybe i need to have this again sometime.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Safeco Field. Pours hazy darker blond with a finger head. Smell wheaty honey. Taste is a bit tart, a lot like a hef, banana and gum. Ok, but seems a bit odd. Not one of FWís better beers.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle pours a very hazy, orange with a white head. Aroma is wheat, lemon zest, orange peel. Wheat straight up in the flavor, plus more citrus yum. Easy, delicious drinking.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy yellow with a bright white head, long-lasting retention and ok lace. Citrusy hops are most evident on the nose, with hints of bananas and toasted maltiness. Bananas came through more strongly in the taste, with caramel sweetness but without the smokiness of the previous model. Light to medium body, high carbonation, and a crisp lemony finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours a cloudy, straw golden color with a fairly small, white, frothy head which is somewhat diminishing and leaves minimal lace. The nose is bready, tart, lemony, very clovey, and faint cinnamon. The flavor is similar, clove, toasty, light tart lemons, bready, and slight earthy hop presence. The palate is nice with a silky mouthfeel, lively carbonation, a refreshing quality, and light to medium body. A very drinkable and summery beer but a bit bland.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
New version, debuted at a tasting event at BJs Brewery in Chandler, AZ in April. Similar yellow hazy pour. There is more citrus and spice notes to go with the banana flavor and flavor just bursts. They improved a good beer to a great one. New weapon against drinking in the summer heat.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, apricot), lightly yeasty (basement/cement), with light notes of gum/banana, pepper, underripe peach. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. A weird beer...certainly better than the 6% version, but thatís not saying a lot since that incarnation was pretty bad. Why weird? Well, it seems stuck on the fence between an American wheat and a German one...or perhaps more specifically, itís like a German one thatís holding back on you. Which isnít bad, I think I can understand not wanting to go full-on banana-clove bomb, but thereís not too much else to fill in the gap. Thereís aromatic evidence from all the ingredients, though, and the aroma is pleasant enough...the main gripe is that itís just kinda plain and unsure of itself. The aftertaste could be cleaner too. All in all pretty good for this brewery though.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Firestone Walker. Pours a lightly cloudy yellow/gold color with a nice white head. This version is way better than the old. A great aroma bursts with citrus notes, wheat, spices, orange peel. Flavor is smooth, crisp, hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, wheat. Damn fine little beer here!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Turbid gold pour - nose is very hefe like, with clove, bubblegum, banana, some dusty yeast and tangy wheat, along with a mild overripe apple sweetness - creamy body, soft texture - flavor is tangy up front, but mostly dry throughout, with light phenols of clove and white pepper - earthy, bready yeast notes - lightly spicy finish - very tasty - blows the original recipe out of the water.
