On tap at Firestone Walker Taproom, Buellton. An unclear orange to golden beer with a small white head. The aroma has a solid dose of orange, with banana and clove notes. Medium body, a bit low on carbonation considering the style. Cloves, banana and some orange and lemon in the flavor. Quite dry, that’s nice. Finishes as it starts. Not bad, just a little boring. 130809

Lightly hazed golden pour with a white head. There’s a nice bit of banana and clove on the nose with some sweet bread and wheat notes. Mild citrus, a bit of water, and maybe a hint of grass. The flavor is a bit bland, but there are some of the same banana and clove notes. Sweet bready malt and wheat with a mild citrus zest note in the background.

A hazed amber weizen with a thin white head. In aroma, pleasant fruity bananas with berry notes, nice and smooth, cloves, good. In mouth, a smooth banana and cloves with light grassy notes, oily mouthfeel, a bit light but refreshing. 12 on. bottle from Total Wine Summerlin, 1.49$.

Bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is spicy clove, wheat malt, light citrus, some banana, and faint hops. Flavor is malt forward with spices and citrus notes, light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Light body and carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Unfiltered. Bright, cloudy, golden orange appearance with a slightly off-white head. Rich spicy clove, orange citrusy, juicy citrusy, wheat malty aroma that’s quite nice. A bit bready, spicy yeasty, big orange/lemon citrusy flavor with lots of vanilla, banana and clove elements. Really tastes like they used a German Hefe yeast to me. Definitely better than the previous version and an excellent wheat beer.

Tap at Firestone Walker. Pours a lightly cloudy yellow/gold color with a nice white head. This version is way better than the old. A great aroma bursts with citrus notes, wheat, spices, orange peel. Flavor is smooth, crisp, hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, wheat. Damn fine little beer here!

Tap at Freshcraft Denver - 03/06/12. Cloudy (chill haze?) golden orange with a finger of white head. Spicey nose with orange zest/peel and grainy wheat. Citrus flavour, bready, wheat, corriander. Medium body and carbonation.

Pale yellow-golden pour with a thick white head. Aromas are classic hefeweizen. Banana, melon and some light fruit. Some bubble gum and a whiff of spice. Loads of wheat character. It’s an easy-drinking hefeweizen - pretty light on the clove and spice, but okay. A bit too sweet for me.
