Scipio (490) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Pours a bright and hazy golden with a very thin white head. The aroma has a very Belgian impression to it. I find yeast, spice, wheat, and banana combined to give a somewhat bubblegum nose. Taste is big on wheat initially. Additionally, there is banana, orange, lemon, and yeast. Some very minor spicy impressions. Long aftertaste of banana. Medium in body with a thin texture. Carbonation is more soft, actually leaning a bit towards being flat. Not bad.

Bottle from 16 Tons, Eugene. Pours a light orange color, pretty much no head. Aroma is rich and sweet, lots of wheat and orange going on. Body is surprisingly lively, finish is dry, almost tart, little to no bitterness. Very nice, very unique, a great summer beer.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a finger of white head, settles in seconds with no lacing. Aroma is wheat, sweety, fruity, banana. Flavor is wheaty with a strong banana kick, mildly bread/dough, malt finish. Nice wheaty flavor profile. Very pleasant, sweet, and drinkable, a little light but satisfying. Moderate carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture. Enjoyable and smooth, a well done american wheat ale.

Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has some nice coriander and orange notes. Flavor is the same with the juicy orange citrus character really coming through strongly, as well as some nice wheat notes. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

For a wheat, it’s good. Pours a slightly murky golden with a head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is wheat, orange, lemon rind, and faintly clove. The clove note is more noticeable on the exhale but still faint. Taste is sweet, wheat, bubblegum, and orange rind. Finishes smooth and lingering. If you really like wheat brews, this one is a good one to try.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with quickly dissipating head. Has a faint aroma of clove and wheat with an overall sweet smell. Slight citrus in the taste but mostly sweet clove and bubble gum like on the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
