On tap at Firestone Walker Taproom. Amber color with small head. Aroma is earthy, some chocolate. Taste is earthy-bitter, classic brown-ale like, a bit nutty. Mild bitterness, quite dry. Fine-bubbled but present carbonation. Not bad!

From a tap at Firestone Walker taproom. The pour is a burgundy with a white minimum head.A light to medium body with a molasses texture.Nothing too out of the ordinary and kinda of forgettable.

On tap at Firestone Walker Taproom, Buellton. A clear, dark brown beer with a small, off-white to light beige head. The aroma is lightly roasted, with caramel and some chocolate notes. Low on hoppy aromas and flavors, some bitterness though. Caramel, caramel malts and some chocolate and coffee hints. Medium body, soft carbonation, quite dry. Short finish. A bit boring, like most brown ales, not bad in any way though. 130809

Tap at brewery. Dark brown beer that looks almost red in the light as it is clear with a froth of dark tan foam. Aroma is really dry roast with slight sweet malt and a lingering light, lagerish blandness. Taste is dry roast with light hop bitterness, nuts, and caramel sweetness. Fairly subtle flavors but clean and highly drinkable. Nice beer.
