COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This elegant dark ale features robust flavors of toffee, caramel and bittersweet chocolate. It employs five specialty malts, as well as oat and barley flakes for added complexity and flavor. It was 100% produced on and fermented in the brewery’s oak union system.

Cask at Streets of London (downtown venue) in Sacramento. Pours dark brown with a beige smear. Aroma of smooth dark malt and chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate with a touch of coffee over smooth dark malt. Did I mention this was smooth? Finishes with a little oak and/or earthiness. A delight to drink.

Cask at streets of London four beer week. Aroma is coffee, flavour is so much more! Coffee, milk chocolate, the oats really smooth everything out and turn the palate into velvet. Finished on the sticky sweet side. Amazing! Also going to sample this on tap. Wow, so much better on cask! I think it needs to warm up a bit from the tap... But much better than the porters I’ve had this week!

Tap at HAF. Brown pour with light tan head. Smells and tastes of caramel, toffee, chocolate. Very thin in the mouth. Not a bad beer, but a disappointment for me.

Tap @ Holiday Ale Fest... Poured a deep brown with an off-white head. Light, thin palate. Cocoa, chocolate, lactose, caramel, and malted grains.
