The beer pours a clear medium fold with a finger of white head that fades quickly. The aroma is medium starting off with some nice grapefruit bitter citrus notes. It is balanced with some nice hops that are not to strong and have a hint of pine. The taste starts off a little sweet but then bring a nice amount of pine, not a ton but enough to make you pucker a little. Not a huge pine fan, but this is easy to drink.

Strong aroma of orange zest, raisins, and flowers. Cloudy and orange in color with a thin white head. Okay lacing. Has a thick texture with a slight bitter taste. For some reason i taste a hint of ginger. This is a full-bodied beer with average carbonation. This is a good ipa and would buy again.

An amber IPA with a frothy big bubbled off white head. A superb orangey c-hops aroma, pinhey and luscious, classic. In mouth, very smooth and crisp malt, lingering citrus c-hops, sweet grapefruits, classic. Cask at Get Real NY, March 19 2011.

Draft sample at the Yard House Town Square location in Las Vegas. Burnt orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Huge C hop aromas of citrus, pine resin, and leafy black pepper, along with some strong caramel notes. A similar situation in the mouth, with the spicy citric hops leading the way. More caramel and pale malt notes on the palate than I was expecting. The finish was quite bitter, but in a chunky, leafy, not as clean as it could be sort of way. A good IPA, but one I was expecting greatness from.

Pours golden amber with white head. Aroma is first of all citrous with lemon and grapefruit, giving way to a bit of minerals, herbs and a little grainy malt. Taste is a big bite of grapefruit giving way to sweet malt. Excellent balance and surprisingly smooth in the mouth for an IPA. When of the best West Coast IPAs.

Bottle says 03/15/10. Pours a nice orangeish gold with a creamy. bubbly white head. It does have a nice scent, high on citrus and some sugary malt. Mmm, this one tastes delicious. Nice grapefruit rind is accented by some spicy/herbal character with a nice bitterness. Some pine creeps in in the aftertaste. I love these hops. A solid west coast IPA in my book. As my taste for IPA’s continues to grow, this fits in quite well with the San Diego IPA’s I love so much. Had this on tap at the brewery. Crisp and refreshing for sure.

Fruity aroma, resiny and pineapple. Nice color and body. Somewhat harsh finish.

Bottle post GBBF, Day 2, August 2009. Gold colour. From the name I thought this was going to be an IPA using UK hops and it certainly didn’t seem that big on "C" hops. It did have a decent leafy hop character and more isn’t necessarily better in every case. Some citrus too. Well balanced, tasty (if relatively subtle) and very enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2011 Bottle is a little older than I would like (4 months), but I have never had it so bought it regardless. Clear gold, frothy white head. Aroma of lemon, pine, grass, light grainy sweet malt. Taste is nicely balanced, good amount of pine resin bitterness, nice sweetness present, somewhat fruity sweet. Medium body, medium carbonation. Great price as well. After drinking the whole bottle of this, I started thinking that it was a little thin bodied and the hops weren’t really as great as expected. I will get a fresher bottle next time and rerate...... Bought a bottle from a different store. Aroma is much more fresh, full of floral, pine, lemon, peach, tangerine. Taste is a bit tea-like, leafy, herb, floral, not very bitter, lots of tropical fruit and citrus.
