Aroma is full of citrusy hops. It pours a transcendent gold with a white head that quickly fades into some nice lacing. The taste if full of hops but only leaves just enough bitterness to make you want to come back for more! Extremely well balanced. So smooth for a 7.5% beer! I love how it doesnít leave your mouth dry. Itís a must have for all IPA lovers.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2013 Re-review! 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a crystal-clear amber color. The head is a creamy off-white shade thatís about one finger high. While retention isnít fantastic, it leaves behind a great deal of lacing. Just a beautiful IPA regardless. S: This is exactly what I expect from a west-coast IPA: lots of grapefruit-forward hops, backed by lesser notes of pine, black pepper, and perhaps even some marijuana. The malts become more evident as it warms up, providing an earthy, caramel-esque background. T: Hops mostly cluster on the opening, providing not only grapefruit, but also peach, black pepper, and pine. The malt sweetness arrives in the second half of the flavor profile, loaded with caramel, toffee, and earth. A really good IPA, even if the bottle is a couple months old. M: It starts off beautifully light and crisp...only for the sweetness to nudge itself in with a syrupy linger on the back end. This hurts the effect that the brew was going for; however, itís still stupidly drinkable for 7.5%. Dangerous, even. O: This is probably one of the better 6-pack IPAs on the market right now. And it would be even greater if it were fresh. I could see this one being a regular in my fridge regardless, though.

Part of a six IPA tasting session.
Bottled on 2/16/12. 6 pack.
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a snifter.

A: Pours a clear orange with a one finger white head.
S: Big citrus hoppy up front, followed by some sweet malts.
T: There is an initial bitterness that fades quickly, falling back on citrus hops and sweet malt flavors.
M: Sticky, medium-bodied, and well carbonated. <br \> O: Very good, unoffensive IPA. Due to the lighter malt backbone, goes down easier than a beer like the GF Palate Wrecker in our tasting, though it was a bit stickier than double jack.

12oz into a pilsner, looks fabulous. Solid pour with a fuffy withstanding head, this brew simmers with excitement. Taste is floral hoppy, a blend of perfect citrus with bitterness and sweetness in perfect mix, and mighty herbal satisfaction. the left coast rings through with the hop presence dieing down rather quickly after the initial taste. After taste is fruity and welcoming, brings one back for some more. Color is light amber, fresh orange and zesty mango. Such an evenly balanced IPA, the abv is so well hidden this seems like it would pass for a 6.0 or a bit higher. An exceptional brew.

Pours transparent gold, white head, nice spotty lacing. The aroma is citrus hop, grapefruit, some sweetness. Nice and hoppy, some tropical fruit, a bit of malt in the body. Good medium carbonation.

Brew pours a light amber with a fizzy white head. Has a weak smell of hops, grapefruit , and lemon. Clean and clear in taste and look, definitely made with good water. Taste of hops not overwhelming but prominent to goalong with taste of grapefruit, citrus and pineapple. Weak malt that is almost lager like if you really try and look for it. Finishes good and dry a solid IPA

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 Re-rate: The more I drink this beer, the more I like it. It has become my everyday beer. It is consistently fantastic. Fuck two hearted, this is the best available/affordable IPA on the market. Pours a clear amber with a 2 finger white head that fades after about 1 minute. Strong aromas of grapefruit, mango and pineapple dominate the nose. Strong start for this well hyped beer. Ok, looks good, smells good, letís put it to the taste test. Very nice. Iím getting the fruity bitterness that the nose alluded to, followed by a nice dose of malt. The thing I like best about this beer is the fact that it finishes dry. Iím so sick of syrupy IPAíS lately that this is a welcome relief. This is right up there with hop stooped in my book... Just a tick less alcohol. Very well executed.

Hoppy but smooth with a nice bitterness and a touch of caramel like malt underlying everything. Balanced with a nice bit of breadiness and the lightest touch of spice.

On Tap - Kite & Key. Poured clean golden with good head and lacing ringing the glass as I quickly devoured this delicious IPA. Aroma of pineapple and citrus with a little pine. Tastes of pineapple and citrus hops. Light malt and pine flavors coming through as well with a good bitterness and mouthfeel
