An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

My 100th IPA on tap at MacGregors. A very solid India Pale Ale. Good balance and smooth drinking. Big malt sweetness with sticky caramel flavor. Hops stand out with pine and strong citrus. Mild bitterness throughout and has a crisp finish. Good IPA.

On draft at 85 West in NYC. Pours a clear, amber color with a thin white head and a little lacing. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, a little pine. Medium on the palate with light carbonation. Flavor is bitter, hoppy, but with a nice malt backbone, and a bitter, pine hop finish. Very tasty.

Pours dark orange with a smooth bubbly white head. Aroma of fruity hops, citrus, pine and grass. Very fresh fruits and hops in the taste, with citrus, pine and caramel malt notes. Finish is bitter and fruity. Excellent and well balanced IPA.

It poured a golden orange color with a white fluffy head. The aroma was of grapefruit, caramel, and some pine. The taste was sweet citrus, caramel with a very nice resiny hop hit. A very good IPA.

Bottle [355ml]. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Nice citrusy hop aroma along with pine, resin and fruit. Flavour’s as nice and just as hoppy, with resin, pine and citrus hops backed by sweet malt, some fruit and a bit of alcohol. Medium bitter finish. Medium bodied. Simply put, a great West Coast style IPA, and better then I expected.

A nice cloudy gold color with a white head and lots of lacing. The aroma has a lot of citrusy hops little bit of malt sweetness. The flavor is strong and hoppy with a citrus bite and a sweet and bitter aftertaste.

On tap Sweetgrass grill in Tarrytown. I literally walked a mile in freezing cold to enjoy some brew and apps while wasting time during oil change. Pours amber with white head. Nose is pungent hops. Tastes super grapefruit hops, much more bitter than standard ipas. Also some earth and woody quality. Great

12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Clear amber-tinged gold with a large frothy off-white head. Smells good - fuggles and resin bitterness with just a bit of cereal/citrus to balance, moderate alcohol. Taste - less cereal, more resin and citrus (zest) - nicely balanced. average body, good carbonation, medium-bitter finish. Solid, not spectacular.

Pours a hazy golden orange with small creamy white head that dissipates quickly. Wonderful citrus hop aroma on the nose. I get a lot of grapefruit with some hints of pine and bread. The first sip is amazing. Tons of grapefruit with notes of tangerine and pineapple. There’s a solid malt backbone there that rounds this beer out, but make no mistake the hops are front and center on the taste buds. Firm bitterness lingers on the palate. This is instantly one of my favorite IPAs. Good stuff.
