An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

2 dimensional IPA. Very hoppy, malt is fine but its lost in the hops as usual for an IPA. The aroma is nice, and its actually slightly refreshing (unlike most dry, bitter IPAs). Just not my cup of tea i guess... Passable IPA. Doublejack is almost too good to compete with. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear golden with two finger fluffy bright white head that dissapates quickly. Some lacing, medium body, resinous texture, and aroma is pine. Taste is lots of pine, a little grapefruit, and a bitter hop finish. Not one of the better IPAs I have had, too much pine.

Appearance: clear, deep gold color, frothy white head. Aroma: beautiful mix of grapefruit citrus and pine. Taste: floral, almost jasmine tea taste, light honey, finishes smooth hoppy bitterness. Mouthfeel: medium thin body, slick & creamy. Overall: pretty awesome. Not quite the Double Jack but delicious in itís own way. Really top notch! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

7.5% alc/vol with a very normal ipa taste. I would recommend it to people. Binnys worker said it was his favorite

12oz bottle. Pours a light golden with a white head. Huge hop aroma and taste with the pine and citrus flavors. A good west coast style IPA.

Bottle. Moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, light to moderate pine and grapefruit for the hops, light dough for the yeast, and background notes of date and butterscotch. Head is small, frothy white, with fair slippery lacing and is mostly diminshing. Color is slightly hazy amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately sweet, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a lively carbonation and a drying finish. The malt dominates over the hops a bit, but this IPAís components mesh well with each other. One of the better IPAs Iíve had in awhile.

Had this out of the bottle. WOW, this is one amazing IPA. Rhode Island only got a few cases in from what I understand so itís hard to find. I was given a bottle by a friend now I want more, but can;t find it....

Pours a relatively clear orange color with a two finger head. Aroma is of grapefruit and other citrus. Taste is more balanced than I would have guessed based on aroma. A very good IPA that I will happily buy again.

Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head...decent lacing. Aroma has some grapefruity spice and some piney notes...just a hint of peach. Flavor has some toasty toffee maltiness and significant bitterness...piney with light citrus and stonefruit...mildly spicey. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a bitter, resinous pine finish.
