A: Pours a bright, slightly darkened orange with a nice white head. S: Lots of grapefruit, orange, and other citrus notes. Some malt sweetness far into the background. T: Very similar to the smell. Lots of refreshing hop bitterness with a little bit of the sweet aroma working its way into the taste. M: Medium-bodied with a little bit of chewiness. D: Quite drinkable. A very nice IPA to quaff back all day. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-01-2009

This poured a darker orange to amber color with an off white head. Aroma was lots of cascade and centennial hops, really fresh smelling. Flavor was very bitter citrusy hops with added pne notes as well. Malt hits the tongue on the swallow to balance it out a bit. Very impressive.

Bottle courtesy of JohnnyJ. Pours with a pale golden hue setting below a small white head that quickly fades to a light film. Nose is oranges, peaches, mango, and not a whole lot of malt nose and not grassy to speak of. Taste is extremely hop dominate with various fruits and grapfruity, orange and other citrus hops there is some caramel and bready malt character present. Very bitter and dry in the finish but a full bodied slick mouth feel. some sticky lace and brilliantly clear. A beer that is more than I expected, very nice!

12. fl.oz bottle from a beer tasting, Nuremberg, Brau-Beviale.
Clear golden beer with a small creamy off white-tan head. Small bubbles, nice lacing stays...Caramel and honey in the nose with a fruity hop. Citrusses and grape, some overriped cheese. Smooth mouthfeel, sweet caramel and honey, raisins, vanilla, nice resiny-fruity hop.

nice ppur, orange with a frothy orange head, nice. aroma is nice, dry and bitter, slight floral and biscuity malt notes underneath. the taste great, the palate is great. there is a strange progression of flavors in the mouth, very nice. starts with a bitter and dry blast, then goes to a very fruity, tropical hop candy in the middle, and finishes with a warming and viscous finish that presents a good bit of sweet malts that were completely hidden earlier in the palate. nice beer for sure, will keep this in mind since you can find it at gas stations around here.

22 ounce bottle. Hazy golden color, scant head. Aroma of orange peel and lemon. Good balance of bitterness and aroma, tipping the scale slightly toward bitterness. Nice combo.

Bottle. Brilliant orange-gold, slim beige collar with lace dabs. Bright, honeyed hop aroma; fresh apricot, pineapple jelly, blackcurrant fruit pastilles and a greener, background tomato vine note. Bittersweet and perfumed with a balance of jellied red fruits, papaya and digestive biscuits dripped with honey. Loses some body as it warms, but I’m nitpicking. Classy IPA.

Really as close to perfect as you can get for an IPA, in my book. Nose full of pine with some toffee notes, same in the taste with added caramel and a great bitter aftertaste. Incredibly well-balanced ale.
