4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 0z bottle. Pours a deep golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is very nice fresh piney and lightly citric hops, herbal and a bit spicy, very fresh hop oil notes. Flavor is also very well balanced, the aggressive hop bitterness, mostly pine with some light fruitiness is balanced by a sweet caramel and lightly biscuity malt. Finishes bitter that lingers a bit. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Pretty tasty IPA

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Just like the Double Jack, this IPA was truely outstanding! I sampled this on a beautiful evening at Union Jacks. The beer poured a light amber color with an ample off-white head. The head left some nice lacing around the glass. The body had a delicious and crisp hop flavor. The balance of this beer was a thing of beauty. It had just the right amount of toasted maltiness to balance the bitter and spicy hop profile. This IPA was noticably refreshing, as well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a medium creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet melon and peppery piney hops. A little on the subdued side for an IPA.
The flavor is sweet melon and peppery piney hops that have a good amount of resiny bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lowish carbonation.
Overall, a nice IPA. Very similar to Odell’s IPA. Also, more balanced than the Double Jack (but not as good IMO).

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Golden orange with a small white head, excellent lacing. Nose of hot caramel, toffee, and an herbal hoppy note. Flavor’s are similar to the aroma with the initial sweetness, spicy hops, pepper, then an earthy and spicy finish with a hint of cinnamon. Something about the combination of hops doesn’t leave me begging for another sip like my favorite IPAs do, but it’s a nicely made beer. I’d love to get a chance to try a fresher bottle, as I think this one may not have been at its peak. If only there was some way to put a date on a bottle indicating how fresh it was.....

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The pour is a clear amber color with an average, white, pillowy, mostly diminishing head which leaves soapy lace. The nose is spicy, resinous, clean, tangerine, and herbal. The flavor is similar, slight bready notes, herbal, spicy, tangerine, almost floral-like, and resinous. The palate is clean, light to moderate, lively, and somewhat crisp. The finish is average, tangerine, resinous bitterness, and bready notes. When I saw the hop bill, I was certainly interested, but everything just seemed too understated for a good IPA. The double version of this beer I thought was tremendous but this one was quite pedestrian.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear copper pour with a small, off-white head - aroma is all earthy hops - a fragrant mix of citrus and musky pine - some pale malt underneath it - flavor is pretty straightforward - clean sweetness - just enough to give the bright cascade flavor and peppery character something to cling too - fairly simple, really, but tasty.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A translucent amber beer with a small white head that leaves lace. Aroma is citrus, piney hops on top of some serious caramel malt notes. Flavor has got a serious malt backbone, a bit toasty. Lots of hop flavor, and finishes bitter.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Strong off-white head of fine bubbles with light carbonation. Lots of citrusy hops goodness, some buttery malts and ripe fruit. Color is a light golden orange. Lots of hoppy bitterness in the flavor. Grapefruit, pine and some caramel malts. A hint of dry roasted peanuts also in the flavor. Long lingering bitterness that dries the mouth and keeps you searching for more. A very, very good IPA. Thanks to pressboxjoe for this one.
