craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Apr 17, 2009 shared bottle with TheBeerSommelier on 4/15/09. slight pine/grapefruit aromas, light golden color, small white head, medium body, solid hop profile... really nice citrus, spice and light malt character... and nice bitter finish. very enjoyable.
jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Apr 17, 2009 From a bottle poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice hoopy flavor with a lingering finish. DubC5000 (195), San Diego, California, USA Apr 17, 2009 Honey colored. Strong, peaty, spicy hop aroma. Sweet malt backdrop to a powerful grassy hop taste, with a spicy, bready finish. Barely a bitter aftertaste. Awesome IPA. Could use more body. DrHomolka (726), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 13, 2009 12oz thanks to RiversideAK. Pours a filtered, clear golden with a soapy white head of medium size. Aroma shows mild hops. Floral, herbal, with a noted soapy character. Definitely soapy. Flavor is pretty hoppy, mildly bitter with a nice hop flavor. Relatively dry. This one tastes better than it smells. A very drinkable IPA, especially for the strength. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 13, 2009 bottle, golden orange color, some whitish foam, aroma is hoppy pines, flavor is good citrus with some maltiness, finish was a little thin for me, but good overal wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Apr 11, 2009 On tap at the brewery. Wonderful intense hoppy aroma. Dryish aste. Medium bitterness. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Apr 11, 2009 Surprised I haven’t rated this yet. 22 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Co-Op. Piney and light spicy hop aromas with some very sweet candy sugar aromas present, too. Not sure if I like the aroma in this guy. Too sweet. Transparent dark golden body with a nice off-white head that leaves pretty good lacing, Has a piney, herbal, peppery hoppiness to start that’s almost astringent. This has a very nice sweetened malt backbone before it finishes with a lightly dry, bitter, hoppy flavoring. More pine flavors late. This is very well-balanced and pretty tasty stuff. 184601 (143), Mexicali, Mexico Apr 9, 2009 Purchased in 6-pack bottle in a gas station in the middle of nowhere ,between San Diego and El Centro CA,anyway .Good overall ,not too much aroma, very drinkable, some dull -alcohol-like palate, but very kind flavor, some grassy hops, some honey accents too, with everlasting yeast, very heavy on percent and when youre drinking while eating. This one has a diferent kind of taste malty and sweet at once.GOOD
