3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pours a crystal clear light amber with a sandy head that is maintained by a high amount of fizz. Nice balance of light malts, slightly toasted with fresh citrusy hops. Moderate on both and nicely balanced. Moderately bitter, some carmel malt and rather full bodied. Nice bitter bite at the end. Not over the top anywhere, balanced, maybe more to the malty side. But fresh flavors all around

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Lots of variety in the hop aroma, the bitter taste is light initially but the medium body and long finish allows for the the bitter to build. Good California IPA, which is to be expected from one of the brewers who founded the style.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle to glass. Pours a very clear deep golden light amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is packed full of floral, fleshy fruit, spicy hops character with a with a light malt background. Flavor is much of the same, but a little more subdued. The spicy fruity hoppy bitterness is still outstanding. Light to medium in body with a lingering hop bitterness. Very smooth and drinkable. Excellent IPA. But certainly not quite to the level of itís bigger brother.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Great nose of citrus, pine, smooth palate. Decent hop bite up front, gets a little overpowered by earthy malt on the back end. Probably one of the best single IPAs I've tried.

A buddy of mine at the firehouse recommended this. Awesome brew. Great balance not to grapefruity or bitter. Love my IPAs and this is one of the best in my opinion.

11/8/13 bottle shared with Luke and Doug up the poconos.
Clear golden pour with a big white head with lots of lacing. Big citrus nose and taste. Grapefruit out the wazoo!!!
Very we'll balance between malt and hops. No wonder Dbl Jack is my favorite IIPA

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
355ml Bottle from Brewdog Glasgow (£6):
Pine & dry hops hit you first and are followed some sweet malts and slightly more caramel. There is a semi-bitter aroma that is coupled with some floral smells and a slightly fruity scent that is helped out by some mango and orange plus a little spice.
Mild amber with a thin, foamy white head on top & a clear body.
Naturally hoppy with some spice and a very floral taste upfront. There is some pine and various fruits including some citrus, orange and mango from the nose as well as some sweetness from the caramel and the malts too. As expected there is some bitterness as well from the pine and some grapefruit as well.
Fairly smooth throughout and quite bitter with a medium body and slightly subdued carbonation but this worked well well indeed, sitting about light medium. A perfectly balanced beer.
An excellent beer that was a pleasure to try, not a bad introduction to Firestone & Walker beers and one that did nothing to damage the reputation of the brewery in my eyes. A perfect balance and a great taste with the smell backing this up throughout. One I canít wait to try again.
