Gold to light copper in color, good clarity. Spicey, earthy hop nose, light citrus and abundant crystal malt aromas. Body is medium, lightly oily on the palate with a soft carbonation, lightly resiny. Orangey citrus flavors up front, light wood notes along with an equal amount of lightly toasty malts to balance things out. Lightly fruity and hop juicey. Fairly dry, fruity finish with a lingering bitterness. Props to SDbruboy for the bottle! AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA

Immediate aromas of those C’s hit the nose with a light sweetness. Strong malt comes across the palate in an attempt to balance the hops. Slightly sweet, full-bodied. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Ordered from South Bay. Yet another excellent, hoppy, floral West Coast IPA that costs us sorry ass Midwesterners a little more than California natives to buy. Such is the price for good beer. We’ll survive. We wont’ get to drink it as much, we’ll spend a little more to drink it, but we’ll enjoy it just as much. Damn good IPA. Glouglouburp (2815), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2008 In short: A well balanced IPA. Foresty with fruity notes. Tasty and refreshing.
How: Bottle 12oz, probably very fresh (consumed 2 days after receiving it from cloudyskipper). Thanks a lot Chris for this kick-ass IPA I didn’t even know existed
The look: Clear dark golden body with a medium beige head
In long: Strong nose of pine-cone juice and some orange. This is a crisp IPA. Caramel and honey perfectly balanced by a rather nice hop profile. Conifer branches and pine-cone juice upfront backed up by tangerines and orange peels. Sharp bitterness, long finish. One of the two few tasty American IPAs that do not try too hard to go over the top. As tasty as it is refreshing. I never thought I would ever have respect for the Union Jack but here we go, God save the Queen… that f***in bitch.
