Clear golden with a white head and hints of lacings. Bitter with a strong hoppiness. Very nice hopsprofile. Fruity bitterness of hops. Very good beer. rayOfBeer (318), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2008 Poured from 12oz bottle a glowing light-orange with a medium sized off-white head. Huge aroma of floral hops, pine resin, citrusy gratefruit and a very slight toasted rubber. Flavor is again big floral citrusy hop, with pine and gratefruit. There is a slight malt presence and just a very small bit of caramel, but virtually no sweetness. This one is on the bitter hop side without a lot of balance. Great for hop heads. I enjoyed it, but wish it had a touch of malt sweetness to carry all those hops. I’ll drink it again but not often. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The taste is balanced grapefruit with some bread crust. Pretty straight forward and nothing about this made it stand out for me. BrewDad (2366), Olympia, Washington, USA

Aroma – Strong IPA aroma with a nice malt backing.
Appearance – Amber in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – A very good IPA flavor this was the mildest of all the beers and was still strong. Huge IPA flavor.
Palate – Great Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry IPA finish.
Overall – very flavorful in the hops and the beer stood up with the rest of the lineup which says a lot. There where some monsters at this festival and this regular IPA did very well.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2008 From a 12oz Bottle. Pours a transparent, brassy gold color with a firm layer of white foam. Very clean, citrusy hop aromas with floral notes of orange blossoms. Mild grapefruit zest and a subtle layer of honey scented malt lying beneath. Medium light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a texture that’s riding on the creamy edge for an IPA. Very clean, grapefruit zest hop flavors up front with a fresh herbal bitterness. Just enough caramel sweetness to add depth and body, but doesn’t crowd the quenching, refreshing attributes of the beer. Some pithy hop bitterness lingers in the finish, with just a slight amount of scratchiness. Well executed, this beer is ideally suited to be an everyday drinker. Plenty of flavor to satisfy the discerning palate, but also restrained enough to be enjoyed by the uninitiated hophead.
