An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

12 oz can. The pour is a darker golden yellow color with a thicker white head that falls pretty quickly leaving some good lace. The aroma is a little more malty than would like with a decent pine on the finish. There is a good dose of tropical fruit and s light resin that carries it out. The sweetness is definitely something that I’m not feeling. The flavor is bitter and lightly fruity. The flavor is actually quite good. There is a nice tropical fruit and a big bitterness to it. The hops are nice and the malt is really subdued. It’s basic, but well done. The mouth feel is light and a little syrupy. There is a softer carbonation and a lingeringly bitter fruitiness on the back end. The sweetness of the malt just likes in a little at the finish, but for the most part it’s a pretty good IPA.

Dorato intenso, limpida. Schiuma frizzantina bianca.

I had it on tap. It pours a light amber color with a nice, white head and lacing. The aroma is grapefruit and pine hops. The taste was grapefruit, mango, and hops. There was a good balance between bitter, sweetness, fruit, and dank. This is a good IPA.

Excellent piney/citrus ipa. Excellent for summer. Hop/malt balance is almost perfect for my taste. Could use slightly less malt

aroma is a weak savory nose that has subtle hints of caramel with an extended breath of toast browned under heat. the taste starts with a caramel and follows on through to a chocolaty after taste.

Trotzdem sehr ausgewogen.
