4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a hazy golden orange with small creamy white head that dissipates quickly. Wonderful citrus hop aroma on the nose. I get a lot of grapefruit with some hints of pine and bread. The first sip is amazing. Tons of grapefruit with notes of tangerine and pineapple. There’s a solid malt backbone there that rounds this beer out, but make no mistake the hops are front and center on the taste buds. Firm bitterness lingers on the palate. This is instantly one of my favorite IPAs. Good stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours and tastes citrus, spruce, golden, sparkling, white foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, creamy, average carbonation, bitter, Not over the top in hops nice blance between piney and like an orange with just right amount of malt. A very smooth drinker even for people who are not hop fans.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear golden yellow with a frothy whit head. Aroma is of citrus and pine from the northwest hops. Mouthfeel is very smooth almost creamy. Taste is nicely malty at the start with peppery spice from the hops at the ending. Crisp in the finish it has a nice pallet. As part of a total package with all of their other brews it fits in wonderfully.

12oz pour in a tulip at Taphouse Grill.
I was really suprised at this one. I had this after a pint of 60 minute and this blew it out of the water. Lots of hop smells, lots of hop flavors. A really tasty beer. Stronger hop tate than the typical IPA. I probably would have guessed Imperial if it were a blind test.
I picked up a bottle of double jack a few weeks ago that I havent opened up, I am now anxiously awaiting trying that.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 ounce bottle. Pours a light gold with medium white head. Aromas of mainly citrus hops with a little pit of pine also. Huge citrus hop flavors with a slight flavor of tea, well-balanced bitter finish...very good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A good standard IPA. Pours pretty light with a small white head. Smells hoppy, tastes hoppy, finishes hoppy. Those four pounds of hops definitely show through....along with a bit of grapefruit towards the finish. Not particularly smooth (has a bit of a sour finish), but certainly a drinkable beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2014 I think I like this about as much as double jack. Tap pours clear golden with white head. Aroma is full of hops, citrus and floral pine. The taste is aggressive hop bitter but with well defined clean hop characters and a crisp golden malt. Light sweetness with bold pine and heading floral hops, some grapefruit and general citrus punch. Nice for an ipa but strong enough to sense the booze. Good overall, great if you are in the mood for a big although soft hearted intense ipa.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very balanced IPA, but it gets lost in the crowd of IPAs and does not quite measure up. Not a beer I’d likely buy again.

Bottles from trades with Gription79 and 5000. Pours clear burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of graapefruit and caramel. Flavors of bitter grapefruit rind and sweet caramel malt. Medium body with average carbonation. A decent IPA. Thanks to Dallas and Andre.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Recently available locally. I have gone through a few six packs already, I am quite smitten with the beer. The aroma is bursting with citrus, pine and honey. It smells great. There is a lot of hops flavor, but there is also a malt backing, but not a sweet crystal malt backing like some beers, but one that comes from flavorful base malts, including munich malt. In the end, this beer is a about the hops and the hops flavor is very potent, but not overpowering. There is a fair amount of bitterness that lingers into the finish, but it doesn’t seem to be overly bitter. It is dangerously drinkable for a 7.5% beer, probably one of my favorite IPA’s already.
