4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ddemmingjr (597) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - MAY 26, 2012Bottle: pours clear golden, small, dense, off white head. Nose: resin, pine, peach, citrus hops. Quite nice. Flavors of resin, pine, sweet caramel malts, dry hopping really noticeable. Crisp, sticky on the lips as it's like hemp oil on there. Nice, short bitter bite. You can see why it's a classic.

Has super hoppy smell and flavor in the beginning. After that it very slowely degrades into this bitter aftertaste and leaves a happy feeling in my mouth and soul. Knowing we are in California almost next to the source on a grad night...

January 2012. 22 oz. bottle. Another one of the great West Coast IPA’s out there that is widely available. Awesome IPA all the way.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 VictorStr (406) - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - JUN 14, 2013
[US West Coast Trip 2013] Aroman är fantastisk ! Humle, fruktighet, grapefrukt, underbar ! Smaken är verkligen inte sämre, faktiskt bättre. Den fylliga, fruktiga, färska och beska smaken är väl balanserad!
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 maxwelldeux (2368) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUN 14, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear copperish color with a moderate off-white head on it. Nose is quite hoppy, with a lot of citrus in there, yet stays very light and clean. Taste is only slightly bitter, but has a nice balance to it. Feels slightly sticky, yet remains quite light. Very drinkable IPA.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 zsb19 (66) - Cincinnati, Kentucky, USA - JUN 12, 2013
Hazy yellow with thick off white head that laces nicely as it goes. Aroma is light piney and a bit fruity. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin and a bit watery. Taste is piney citrus with a good malty back bone that turns bitter quickly. Nice lingering bitterness on the aftertaste. Overall a very well balanced IPA.

Looking at some of these ratings makes me think these are rival breweries ! This is always a safe bet and a great representation of a west coast ipa. You could never go wrong with this sure shot at 3 months old or less. Any ratings below 4 should stick to lagers, enjoyvur coors lights !

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Lupulucid (29) - - JUN 6, 2013
Subtle orange hue hints at malt. Hops are huge and lovely but fade to bitter quickly.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 maltdog (600) - Colorado, USA - JUN 6, 2013
Bottle. Orange/amber with sturdy, sticky, creamy foam. Piney and earthy hop aroma with notes of smoke, mango and ruby grapefruit. Juicy and lucious… a berfect balance of honeyish malt and resiny/spicy/citrusy hop. Rounded mouthfeel could stand a bit more carbonation. Beautiful bittersweet finish. I’d prefer it slightly drier, but it’s pretty close to ideal.
