An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

Tap. Pretty good overall, but not as good as the description suggested. I was hoping for more citrus and grapefruit taste. It was there, but very mild. This wasn’t too bitter overall and was very drinkable. Pretty good overal.

Just a really good, classic IPA. Sweet, fragrant, citrus aroma. Golden amber-orange color poured with minimal head. Great taste, very balanced mix of grapefruit and citrus, with a robust hop finish that’s so smooth on the palate. Memorable with lingering. One of my favs.

7.5%ABV. IPA. Poured out Amber. 12ºSRM. Nose has a bunch of bright ciitrus aromas like ripe Valencia oranges, grapefruit juice and white table grapes. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has solid malt with wheat toast, toasted cracked barley, oatmeal and wonder bread. Hops are pine, citrus peel with cilantro, Thai basil and a somewhat more full bodied bitter finish. Finish is long. Bitter and floral with fresh pine accents. Goes on Favorites List !

On tap at Craft Beer Market on Firestone Walker event. Purs a clear golden with a white head, amazing. Aroma is tropical fruits hops. Taste is slightly sweet, pretty similar to aroma. Dry, piney hops aftertaste. Very good, refreshing.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2016 Bottle at home. Aroma is fruity hops, pine resin, juicy citrus, grapefruit, tropical, light biscuit malty. Flavour is light sweet with a robust bitterness. Body is medium. Very smooth and juicy, big hops, exemplary IPA, could not stop taking sips.

Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Doft och smak är maltig med tallbarr, kåda och lättare inslag av grapefrukt. Grapefrukten mer framträdande i eftersmaken. Bra balans mellan sötma och beska.

Bottle shared at home. Almost clear golden with fluffy off white head that leaves lots of lacing. Grapefruit, mango, orange, dank hops with soft silver hazy marijuana, dried flowers, fresh cut grass. Some biscuits, caramel and cookies. Medium sweet going into a long lasting bitter finish that matches the sweetness perfectly. Medium bodied with slightly oily feel. Very nice IPA.
