jah noth (937), Rochester, New York, USA Mar 13, 2008 This is a nice quaffer of an IPA. Very piney nose, but the flavor begets more sweet malts, citrus, some wateriness, and a piney finish. Nice beer, but tough to follow that Sculpin.
JoeMcPhee (3671), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 Thanks to cloudskipper for this one. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. Gorgeous fruity citrus hop aroma. Fresh orange peel, piny spiciness and sweet grapefruit. A light honey/pale malt sweetness adds a nice back note to this, but it is still very much a hop-dominated brew. Flavour is also very hoppy with loads of orange/grapefruity citrus. Tropical finish. Sticky lacing coats the inside of the glass in a thick layer of Belgian lace. Light resinous bitterness on the back. Another tasty IPA. Wegro (167), Fresno, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 pours a light orange, more pale than expected. very balanced with huge leafy floral herbal hops and a long bitter finish. moderate sweetness. airy mouthfeel and medium thickness. reminds me of avery but better. i love firestone’s pale 31 and i love this one too. this is an outstanding example of an IPA.
