4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap @ Whisky Bar. Canít believe I havenít rated this yet. Pours medium golden with thin lingering head. Aroma is sweet citrus and fresh hops. Taste is clean crisp malt with a big juicy hoppy finish. Citrus, grapefruit, and pine notes in the hops. At 7.5%, one of the bigger single IPAs, and one of the best.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reviewed from notes. Iíve had this more than a numerous amount of times in my life. Here goes:
The appearance has a copper colored body with a one finger white foamy head that quickly concaves leaving some nice clingy foamy lacing in its wake.
The smell has some pine/grapefruit subtleness with some orange peel in the background and comes out more as it warms. A decent malt background adds a very nice aroma.
The taste is mainly sweet through previously mentioned flavors, yet subtly spicy at times but there is a decent bitterness quality coming out through pine/grapefruit (hops, still learning my hops, bear with me).
The palate is about a medium, smooth for an AIPA - no worries, under-carbonated - maybe, but perhaps I wasnít expecting that.
Overall, this is a very good AIPA and am certainly glad I acquired it. I will definitely have this again.

Great IPA with lots of hops. Classic finish with a certain dryness. This is not an IPA for everyone.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle dated 3 months. Iím surprised i havenít rated this before. Clear, not sure of color because of my tinted glass. Not much foam but it coats the glass. Aroma is light but comprised of the usual tropical and pine hops. Pleasant floral character. Good bitterness, herbaceous, resinous, while maintaining a somewhat sessionable aesthetic. Especially remarkable once you consider the 7.5 abv. Definitely a standout as a grocery store staple beer.

A crystal clear honey body sits beneath smooth to frothy white head leaving dense webbed peninsulas of lace all around
Citrusy, dank, and spicy hop components balanced by smooth nutty malts on an exceptionally smooth medium body with well controlled carbonation, solid lasting residuals echo the aroma and flavor components

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A brilliantly clear citrine color with a big off white head of foam that eventually settles to a dollop and a constant film, leaving behind good lacing. A beautiful looking beer. Big juicy grapefruit and citrus rind aroma with some floral character and a caramel malt backbone. Big taste also that starts off with some caramel sweetness then quickly is overtaken by those bright citrus and pithy flavors. Pine and floral hops coat the tongue with a bold bitterness. Get a saltine cracker taste as the bitterness subsides a bit. Finishes dry with a moderate piney bitterness. Mouthfeel is semi creamy with a medium body and moderate carbonation. A bold IPA that is balanced with great flavor. If you want a big and flavorful IPA that is world class and affordable, this is the one.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12-oz. bottle (dated exactly one month ago). Heavy grapefruit, sweet lime, and alfalfa lead the way on the aroma, with a touch of wet pine and light bread dough. Bright medium orange pour with a a frothy white head and light lacing. Moderate bitterness dances on the tongue with prominent grapefruit and pine before a malty sweetness (traces of caramel and vanilla) perfectly levels out the taste. Some mango and nectarine fruitiness pops out late and is joined by a grassy tone. The finish is extremely dry with just the right amount of bitterness. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy this brew; it is the standard by which I judge all IPAs.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Simple yet intense aroma of pine, grapefruit and malt, with hints of apricot and mandarine. Solid malty base, decidedly citrusy hoppy flavour, soft mouthfeel, grassy bitterness, alcohol completely hidden. Unlike many other West Coast IPAís, this one does not overstep the line and manages to be a nicely balanced beer, without an over-the-top bitterness. Very nice!

Pours a nice gold color with good lacing. Smells of piney hops and tastes the same. A good beer, but nothing to write home about.
