An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

Pours a deep golden orange. Aroma is a lot of citrus and pine, very strong. Taste is surprisingly bitter for an IPA listed at 70 IBUs, definitely hoppier than most IPAs I’ve tried. There is a lingering sweetness from the malt, but it still has a very light body. The bitterness really sticks around for a while and reminds me of 3 Floyds, not afraid of hops. Definitely a great IPA I would go back to, which is saying something considering how over saturated the style is.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Fruity and mildly piney hoppy aroma with notes of pineapples, tangerine, zests and a tinge of spruce, backed by a delicately caramelly malty touch. Moderately bitter flavor with a rounded malty sweetness in the background, medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Balanced (cara-)malty base with a cornucopia of hoppy flavours, lingering into the dry-ish and lasting bitter-sweet finish. Fresh and rounded IPA, superb. 22.I.15

Pours a clear orangish copper with a frothy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, grapefruit, caramel and sweet pale malts. Taste is grapefruit, citrus, pine and balance from the sweet pale malts... Very easy to drink for a 7.5 ipa and an awesome dry finish.

Ce nez houblonné très très frais ! En bouche, de la mangue un peu trop mure ... C’est un truc très direct mais très agréable aussi ... Une IPA avec du corps, en somme !

Very nice mango, coconut, hoppy nose. Nice orange, hazy colour. Good IPA taste, quite classic but very good for sure. Bitterness is perfect.Maybe a little light for me, 8.5 would suit better.

Color oro y carbonatacion media. 100% IPA americana, con una potente parte de fruta fresca (lichi, guayaba) y notas de pimienta. Boca seca y poderosa, de enorme equilibrio, con gran textura y precioso final, todo amargor fino y lupulo fresco.

Zesty aroma but without being confronting. Very well balanced hops keeping it more sweet than sour, just. Good, refreshing, light with a twist of complexity.

Yellow pour with a lasting, medium sized head. Grape fruit aroma with some light pine. Strong, hoppy flavor. Active carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Orange and grapefruit flavors, solid caramel malt profile. Lingering bitterness. This one kind of smacks you in the face, excellent.
