Draft. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of grass. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass combined with medium notes of pine needles, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.

On tap. pours a clear deep golden with an off-white head. Very fresh - almost perfumy - peachy and piney hop accents. Medium body with sweet malts and fruit, and again a solid aroma hoppiness that leaves a great and balancing bitterness. A perfect IPA. 070709

From tap at Pizza Port, Solana Beach. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a lacing white head. Aroma is grapefruit hops. Mild bitter initial flavour with a solid grapefruity flavour following into the finish. Light sweetness from the caramel malt too. Nice dry and bitter finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity and flowery hops along with some caramel and some mild notes of nectar. Flavour is quite bittery fruity and flowers along with some caramelly and mild nectar.

Cloudy amber with medium off white head. Hoppy aroma with citric and piney notes. Loads of hops in the flavour. Notes of grapefruit, pine and toasted malt. Dry bitter finish.

Drops bright from the cask. Delicious golden amber colour. Thin head but bubbley and gorgeous. Orangey aroma with light earth and caramel. Some pine. Bold hop nose. Hardly English...pithy bitterness, creamy, orangey. Light malt for balance. Fun stuff.

(Bottle) Pours a clear copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, light pine, and apricot. Flavor of citrusy/mild pine hops and caramel malt with a moderately bitter finish.

Bottle from GBBF 09. When Firestone came and brewed for JDW last year this is what we wanted, not yet antoher golden ale. Clear orange/gold, lasting thin beige head. Lovely strong UK style hop aroma, bit of tangerine in there too. Lovely peppery hop. Decent tangerine. sweetish malt in mouth. I liked it very much. OK, lacks some malt, but great hops.
