3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2014 12/14/14: Bomber. Grapefruit citrus hop aroma with light grass and pine notes. Pours clear golden colored with a large soapy white head and very little lacing. Starts with smooth grapefruit and orange citrus with hints of tropical fruit. Finishes dry with light grass and pine hop bitterness, but still quite smooth. Nice IPA.
10/8/12: Strong hoppy aroma. Amber colored with not much head. Smooth with citrus notes to start before the hops take over. Hoppy to finish, but not overpowering.

On tap. Amber and very clear with nice white head. Not too strong citrus hops aromas with some resins and floral background. Light to medium body with little bit alcohol feeling with the first sip. Then very well balanced. Quite drinkable, very good IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Quite clear amber, thick, frothy, slightly off white head. Restrained, but enjoyable citrus hop aromas, with a touch of spice. Citrus, grassy and slightly resinous, bitter hop flavours dominate, touch of stone fruit with an underlying malt sweetness towards the end of the beer which adds incredible balance and drinkability. I was expecting an English style IPA, but very much an American. Fantastic beer.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden with good white head, very clear! Aroma is fresh hops. Mostly citrus and pine but a hint of tropical fruit too. Taste is massive hops. Zesty and citrus Fruit with a hint of honey. Perhaps a slight floral hint before the bitterness comes in. Hint of malt blames the whole thing perfectly. Good carbonation and mouth feel. Didn’t get much better to be honest

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled from a can from Prohibition Wines. Hazy orange with a fine creamy head.Fruity and floral aroma, and a taste which is resinous and fruity. Excellent malt taste redolent of freshly baked brioche, with notes of mango, pine, orange and grapefruit peel. Creamy, bitter finish and an excellent mouthfeel. An inspired beer of the highest quality.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours orange gold from the bottle with a creamy white head. The aroma is very citric with the advertised grapefruit being dominant, but a light sweet malt undertone is noticeable. The beer is a pleasure to smell. The taste is quite bitter, with the hops taking the leading role and lending a dry citric character to the brew. A touch of honey sweetness is present, but the malt remains generally in the background. Only the slowly rising warmth hints at the ABV; the alcohol is superbly disguised. Excellent stuff, although I think I prefer the easy going Firestone Pale 31, where the hops and malt seemed to play out in better harmony.
