4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
As my taste for IPA’s continues to grow, this fits in quite well with the San Diego IPA’s I love so much. Had this on tap at the brewery. Crisp and refreshing for sure.

Bottle from vons. Decent enough drop. Not hoppy enough for my liking but a very nice beer. Not really challenging enough. Very drinkable. Smells better than it tastes.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a slightly cloudy, dark golden orange color with tangerine edges and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting collar. Very good retention with rings and streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Slightly earthy floral hop aroma that’s bursting with tropical and citrus fruit sweetness before being countered by subtle sweet malt backbone. Dank, oily and resinous with fresh buds and grassy pine followed by hints of grapefruit, mango, pineapple and orange peel. Slight caramel malt presence with toffee, biscuit and graham cracker. Very inviting.
Medium bodied with a perfect balance of dank, sticky hop bitterness, sweet citrus/tropical fruit notes and a sweet malt backbone. Dry, earthy bitterness up front with a spicy/grassy flavor along with pine needle and alpha acids. This is countered mid-palate by a juicy tropical and citrus hop flavor with notes of blood orange, grapefruit, pineapple and mango. The perfect amount of fruit sweetness without taking away from the bitterness. Decent malt backbone balancing things out without interfering with the hops. Subtle caramel sweetness along with toffee, bread, biscuit and graham cracker. A little heavier and a touch more malt than most west coast IPAs but its perfectly balanced without losing the delicious, complex hop flavor. Exemplary for the style.

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful pour, clear gold, dense white head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit, lots of grapefruit. Very true to the style on the tongue...hop heavy with a well rounded malt graininess, pretty sharp on the finish. Good take.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: Golden, clear, lots of bubbles, decent sized head, lots of lacing. S: Citrus, pine, resin. T: Grapefruit, gummibear, hint of apple, lingering bitter finish. M: Crisp texture, light body, well carbonated. O: A beer billed as an English style IPA, packed with Cascade, Simcoe and Mosaic hops. Closer to an American or even Imperial takes on the style. Well made, hid the booze, but it wouldn’t stand out from the multitude of IPAs on the market.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
I think this is labeled wrong should be a double IPA. Its too hoppy and bitter, but I think that was what the brewers were looking for.

Color is cloudy golden with white head. Clear aroma of grapefruit and hops. Taste is well balanced, fresh, sweet and with bitter finish. Fizzy mouthfeel. Very nice beer, maybe one of My favourites.
