Bottle, shared with Parksy and pitted against Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Pours a deep hazy gold with a thick white head. Very resinous citrus hop aroma. On the palate, the malt is nearly completely eclipsed by the hoppiness: resinous, pithy citrus, reedy and vegetal. Very assertive bitter finish. This outshone Torpedo IMHO. A crazy-good IPA!

Caramel, wet-bread malt character. Piney hop notes with moderate citrus and a leafy vegetation tint. A little soapy and astringent. Finish is dry.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a white head. Aroma is tons of citrus hops. Flavor is very hoppy but not too bitter. The predominant flavor is orange and other citrus fruits. Medium mouthfeel and very drinkable. This is a beer that I could drink several of in one sitting. This is a great beer.

Floral and resiny hop aroma. Color is copper. Awesome taste of hop bitterness and malt flavor without sweetness. Solid IPA.

Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Amber, slight copper hue, clear, lively carbonation, moderate frothy off-white head, nice lacing.   Certainly looks the biz.   Straight up hop nose.   Very minor barnish/musty malts.   Clean, slight citrus aspects, smooth hoppiness.   Not biting at all, while remaining hoppy and somewhat citrusy.   Seems well balanced, smooth, with a nice finish.   Body and mouthfeel are spot on.   Lingering citrus zest.   I would enjoy it more if it had a touch more sweetness.   That woukd really round it out.   As is, fairly solid and enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with a creamy laced white head. Wow now that’s one awesome aroma, exactly how I like my IPA’s. There’s a burst of juicy hops right off the bat. Heaps of grapefruit and citrus, orange and pine. Great bitterness and finishes refreshingly dry. A delicious IPA...great stuff!

Pour is nice...thick yellow head and clear light amber body. Aroma is alright of earthy hops and citrus. Flavor is buttery bitter. Palate is buttery, a little astringent. This beer is just ok for me...the malts are a nice background addition but I think the cascade hops have a wetdog feel.

Copper pour with nice big off-white forthy head. Big hoppy nose of citurs and spice. Flavor is big with cascade hops, wet hoppy flavor that you just chew through. Nice touch of roast that finishes this thing off.

Bottle shared with tashi at my "All my US bottles from GBBF need drinking" tasting, 16th Aug 09. Bright lively golden amber with a thick white head. Lurking hop aroma - you know what’s coming. Dusty dry start to sip. Fruity, with nice grapefruit hints. Alcohol gives it weight but doesn’t mess with the flavours. tashi detects a hint of almond perhaps in the middle. I could definitely taste a nutty, biscuity malt, once the initial hop bombardment subsides.
