An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

This may be the cleanest most perfect hop forward and balanced beer. The aroma on a fresh bottle like I had last night is top notch! Definitely a treat and something I go to whenever possible!

Pours a hazy golden orange with a finger of frothy white head. Nose is orange zest, candied orange, pine, caramel. Flavor is gloriously hoppy and zesty, with lots of grapefruit, orange, lemon peel, pine, a little caramel and toffee in the mid palate. Fairly heavy, but not too thick or viscous. Balls to the wall American IPA, just how it should be.

Very nice IPA. Aroma of hops, some alcohol as I consume it. Flavor packs a punch; bitter; resinous; grapefruit; earthy. Sticky mouth feel; coats the mouth.

Dark orange color with a small head. Aroma is pine, citrus, grapefruit and hops. Taste is citrus with a nice hoppiness that ends with a nice bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank from bottle. On the nose I smell hints of tangerine, grapefruit, and pineapple. The taste has a nice hop character on the front with a small bready malt presence in the back end. Heavy mouth feel, medium carbonation, well rounded beer.

Bottle. One of the best. Great hop nose. Grapefruit citrus hop. Nice aftertaste.

Thin golden orange with a very light white head. Big citrus aroma, sweet grapefruit and pineapple with light resins. Sweet aroma is hiding a massively bitter beer, dominated by citrus and pine resins. Malt plays a back role in this beer, it's all about bitterness here. Finish is crisp and bitter, a fairly thin beer, with a little lemon fruit twist to finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint at Maxfields in Potsdam. Quite resinous and piney, a little peppery, decent malt support, quite bitter, nice.

Poured from tap@ Field House in Philadelphia PA. Really nice west coast style IPA. Huge hop flavor in just the right way with very forward notes of grapefruit and lemon oil with a bit of hibiscus on the back end. Full mouthfeel and a really nice finish. --you've been Dubbed.

From 341 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber-gold with a small but lasting white head and light carbonation. Aromas of tropical fruits - guava, melon, papaya - plus lemon, pine, flowers and sweet biscuits. Taste is sweet malt up front that’s quickly overtaken by pine resin and lemon zest bitterness. Fresh fruit at the end before a lingering floral aftertaste. Really well done IPA.

Bottle from a recent Tampa Tasting. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose is floral, herbal, sweet caramel, and sticky pine character. Flavor is similar with some light caramel, some floral notes, some sticky pine. Light to medium in body and nice IPA overall.
