Tap @ O’Briens. Poured clear copper-gold with a short white head. Moderate lacing. For a straight IPA, this was fantastic. Sometimes, you get the DIPA that calls itself an IPA, but this is jsut a well-done, big-hop single IPA. Crisp, fresh pink grapefruit, pine needles, orange peel, and mango in the nose. Sharp mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation. No stickiness in the finish. The aroma follows through nicely in the taste. Grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, and that bite of resin. The caramel malt stays muted and does not turn this into a candied mess. Please sell more bottles of this in San Diego.

Great IPA. Great hop aroma nd great peppery hop bitterness. The peppery hops and earthy hops this brewery uses really make these brews stand out. Great finish too.

Light orange/gold pour with a thin but long lasting white head. Passionfruit, orange, caramel, pine aromas. Taste is citrus, pine, caramel, a little sweet, more tropical fruit, good solid bitterness at the end, slightly oily. Good one.

Langer, bitterer Nachgeschmack. Sehr gutes IPA.

Clear amber color with low off-white head, average carbonation, flowery, herbal and malty (caramel, berries) aromas, medium bitterness with average peppery finish. Good brew.

Bottle at Red Hot, Munich, 16th September 14. Almost on the eve as the Union Jack, gets voted in or our by Scotland! This is an average US IPA, sweetish, bitter, but hops muted, perhaps not as fresh as one time. OK

Transfer from BA review on 5-30-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a nice amber color with a two finger yellow tinted head. The head has amazing retention, very slowly fading over time to give a fantastic level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is a little bit on the bready side with some notes of caramel malt. While those aromas are lighter there is plenty of hop aromas to go around. While mainly of grapefruit hop, there are also notes of some pine mixed in as well. Along with the stronger hop aroma so too comes some stronger tropical fruit aromas overall making a quite nice smell. Taste – The taste starts out with a nice blend of bready malt flavors and a bunch of a grapefruit hop. Quickly after the initial taste a moderately strong showing of tropical fruits (pineapple, tangerine, and mango) come to the tongue. The grapefruit grows strong toward the end of the taste with some of the fruit becoming more potent as well. The bready flavors seem to become smoother and more pronounced at the end with some light pine flavors joining the taste at this point. In the end a very smooth and sweet but nicely hopped flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is very creamy with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. The thicker/creamier body and lower carbonation level accentuate the hop and sweet blend nicely all the while keeping a very smooth feel on the tongue. Overall – This was a fantastic IPA. A great blend of sweet, malty, and hop. The smoothness is fantastic, with it bathing the tongue and making for a truly enjoyable brew.
