3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Red Hot, Munich, 16th September 14. Almost on the eve as the Union Jack, gets voted in or our by Scotland! This is an average US IPA, sweetish, bitter, but hops muted, perhaps not as fresh as one time. OK

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Transfer from BA review on 5-30-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a nice amber color with a two finger yellow tinted head. The head has amazing retention, very slowly fading over time to give a fantastic level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is a little bit on the bready side with some notes of caramel malt. While those aromas are lighter there is plenty of hop aromas to go around. While mainly of grapefruit hop, there are also notes of some pine mixed in as well. Along with the stronger hop aroma so too comes some stronger tropical fruit aromas overall making a quite nice smell.
Taste – The taste starts out with a nice blend of bready malt flavors and a bunch of a grapefruit hop. Quickly after the initial taste a moderately strong showing of tropical fruits (pineapple, tangerine, and mango) come to the tongue. The grapefruit grows strong toward the end of the taste with some of the fruit becoming more potent as well. The bready flavors seem to become smoother and more pronounced at the end with some light pine flavors joining the taste at this point. In the end a very smooth and sweet but nicely hopped flavor is left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is very creamy with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. The thicker/creamier body and lower carbonation level accentuate the hop and sweet blend nicely all the while keeping a very smooth feel on the tongue.
Overall – This was a fantastic IPA. A great blend of sweet, malty, and hop. The smoothness is fantastic, with it bathing the tongue and making for a truly enjoyable brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deliciousness. Pours light orange-amber with a thin white head that descends into a ring, decent lacing. Strong aromas of passion fruit, currants and some dark cherry, very unique. Taste is first astringent-bitter and moves into sweeter berry flavours before finishing dry and hoppy. Finely carbonated. Fantastic!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle while visiting Seattle. Pours gold with a white head. Great aroma of light funky veg, perfumey floral stuff, light candy, caramel, trop fruits, pine... Juicy and bitter with tangerine, lemon, pine, woody resin, light caramel, grapefruit, orange, toast... Lovely balance. Big dry bitter finish, lots of juicy hoppy tastiness. Good.

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
nose: on the strong side. like grilled mango and pineapple + chicken thighs.
palate: unspeakably delicious. holy of holies! a mouthful of peach [softness and perfume], pineapple [sharpness and juicyness], mango [fleshiness and sweetness] interact with the perfect mouthfeel...sudsy, cleansing, not too thick. the bitterness and acridity are kept in check by the decadent waves of these. on the back end there’s a very piny, resiny filmy feel. then the finish intensifies the hop edge, bringing along more vegetal and almost wasabi-like sensations.
i was gonna say i’m speechless...but i just typed all that

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355ml bottle@home (from Bier-Deluxe - bottled on 3/27/14) Slightly hazy light copperish appearance with medium sized white head. Aroma is caramelly, resiny with citrussy and piny hops. Taste medium bitterness and lightly sweetish with some sourness. Palate is medium bodied with oily texture and average carbonation. The finish is dry and bitter. Clearly 5 months has taken its toll on this IPA but still you get a solid West Coast experience.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Firestone Walker tasting at Beer & Beyond shop. Almost clear orange-amber with a nice off-white head. Smell - mango, papaya, grapefruit, pine, onions and pepper. Sweet with biscuits and caramel malts backbone, fruity and citric hops, strong bitter finish, quite alcoholic.
Med-bodied, syrupy and oily on palate. Not very dry and quite heavy, bordering Double IPA. Still quite solid.
