4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 LtDan (1502) - Los Angeles County, USA - JUN 6, 2009
Aromas of flowers, pine, citrus, and dank bud. Appearance: Pours a golden amber with a decent fluffy head. Flavors of bitter, citrusy, floral hops, nice malt sweetness, and it finishes clean, not too bitter or astringent. Not overly thick, nice full body. One of the best IPAs made in the world.

I first tried this beer at the Oregon Brewfest in 2010 and I fell in love. For me it is the perfect IPA. Nice hop aroma and extremely smooth well-balanced taste. Drinking this on draft gives me a beergasm every time and it’s hard for me to stop drinking it once I start. Purely delicious.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20 beerbastard (316) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUN 2, 2012
This is the classic IPA. Malty with that northwest hop nose. Perfectly balanced hop, malt and bitterness flavors of citrus pine and fruits balanced with a strong malt backbone. Finishes clean and dry with a slight bitter end.

On tap at a work function, came with a high recommendation and did not disappoint. Citrus & pine on the nose, punch of hops on the palate. Lively carbonation, well balanced.

Bottle: pours clear golden, small, dense, off white head. Nose: resin, pine, peach, citrus hops. Quite nice. Flavors of resin, pine, sweet caramel malts, dry hopping really noticeable. Crisp, sticky on the lips as it's like hemp oil on there. Nice, short bitter bite. You can see why it's a classic.

One of my favourite beers of all time. There is a reason why this brewery won the 2012 Brewery of the Year at the World Beer Cup. This is their flagship beer and for good reason. A hop lover’s dream, right up my alley.

Pours a nice golden yellow with a thin beige head. Aroma consists of floral notes and fruits. Flavor has the usual hints of pine, as well as fruits, mostly grapefruit. Very drinkable, lovely offering!

From a bottle at house of brews, 5/2012. Pours pretty light color for an IPA, not cloudy at all, almost like a pale ale, golden with medium head. Lots of bubbles like champagne almost at first, but settled down after a bit. Nose just a really pleasingly intense hoppiness, I'm not getting all the citrus and complexity that other people have mentioned... It just smells like straight hops to me, and tastes the same. Really good though. A great session IPA.

pours very light amber with a lasting white head and plenty of lacing. aroma is yeasty, wet, and a bit acrid but with a warm sweetness. taste has notes of caramel, grapefruit, pine, lemon and bread. finish is strong and full. a very nice and all together well balanced beer that is an outstanding representation of the style.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Scipio (189) - Vernon Hills, Illinois, USA - MAY 23, 2012
Pours a golden red with a good off white head. Aroma is citrus and hoppy. heavy in grapefruit, some pine, orange, and a bit of pineapple. Taste is extremely hoppy. Lots of grapefruit is the dominant taste. It is piney, with moer citrus fruits; mango, lemon, pineapple. Big hoppy aftertaste. Full bodied, sticky texture, and bitter. This is one fine IPA.
